I was also thinking about Aniah Blanchard’s case here...
I agree with you. I posted the same thoughts, earlier in this thread. This car could have been left near a residence of someone a perpetrator might know.

I would be asking police if we should be looking for our loved one. Even if they said not to do so, I probably would at this point. It has been almost three weeks since AW went missing.

I think that perhaps AW was going to stop for donuts/coffee for his house guests and take it home with him and maybe he was accosted and struggled.

Nothing new here but sharing as I don’t think this source has been posted yet with this update.
KPMG Managing Director Reported Missing By Family; Reward Now $15,000 (UPDATE) - Going Concern

White is seen at the gas station at 5:47 a.m. on Oct. 22, after he left an LA Fitness reportedly at 5:38 a.m. In the gas station surveillance camera footage, White is wearing a red tank top, even though the “missing person” flyer (below) says he was last seen wearing a light gray tank top with dark gym shorts.

It seems like he was such a caring thoughtful person. I wonder if he was running a special errand as a surprise for someone (his husband, family, etc) and something happened to him during that time. Maybe he kept the trip a secret because he wanted to do something nice as a surprise for someone he cares about. I can't decide if it seems like a random wrong place a the wrong time type thing or a targeted abduction...I have been thinking about alan and his husband and family a lot and hoping for the best outcome possible.

So I'll speculate, and this is just a guess.

We know he wandered around the gas station for 15 seconds and then left. I think he was looking for food or drink but then thought better of buying the gas station goodies and left. I've done that before.
So my speculation is he made one more stop before home and was abducted along with the vehicle, either spontaneously by a perp who just happened to be in the lot or by a perp who followed him. The car spent some time in a garage and then was abandoned due to the media coverage. Maybe the abductor also worried it had a locator once they found out it was a rental.

I hope I am wrong and that he's alive and well, though. I truly don't want to speculate the worst. Perhaps there is the possibility he staged this and is okay? I often like to believe that in these cases, though.

Agree he may have gone inside the gas station to see about a pastry or something to bring home, didn't see anything, got gas and possibly stopped at another convenience store to pick something up. I don't see a hookup. IMO
Locals- is there another convenience store in that area ( mainly on the way to his home or possibly across the street from the gas station?) LE may want to look into more CCTV footage. IMO

Maybe he wandered in to use the restroom and changed his mind? Or he was looking for a specific energy drink?
His “to do” list probably has clues as to where he might have stopped on his way back to his home.

'It’s a complete nightmare': Mom, partner of missing Dallas businessman plead for his safe return | wfaa.com

Rusty Jenkins is White’s partner of 18 years.

“When he wasn’t home at 6:15, I thought it was odd. When he wasn’t home at 6:30, I knew something was wrong. When he wasn’t home by 6:45, I was panicking,” Jenkins said.

“I got in the car at 7, drove the route back and forth trying to find him. Trying to find evidence of a wreck somewhere. I was calling the hospitals trying to find out if there was an unidentified John Doe in any of the hospitals, because I didn’t know if he had his ID with him or not," she continued.

ETA-@legalmomma sorry I see you shared above. I’ll leave mine too with just a bit of the article. From past experience sometimes articles disappear.

No problem of course! But I see now that they have a typo.....it should be "he continued" not "she"..... (BBM)

NEW - The latest on the search for missing Dallas businessman Alan White. For the first time we’re hearing from White’s mom. “I don’t understand this. I don’t understand it at all.” “If somebody’s got him and he’s hurt. Bring him to us, we’ll take care of him.” WFAA @ 10

Alan’s mom is in from Florida and on a mission to find her son. She’s been working with the police to get answers.

“I never thought at 82 years old that I’d be going to the police station for a son that never caused any trouble at all,” Craven said. “I’ve got so many prayer warriors. And if it wasn’t for my faith in God, I’d lose it right now.”

Her faith gives her hope.

“I’d just love to see his face again and for him to say ‘Hey Mama’” Craven said. “I think he’s still alive somewhere. I really do.”

All just speculation and my opinion only:

I sure hope I'm wrong, but I think there is a chance that AW's disappearance may have been a kidnapping for the purpose of extorting money from him and/or collecting ransom from his family, with the victim (AW) being held captive in his own car for some period of time - very similar to the aggravated kidnapping incident that took place on 11/4 at 7:30 am in the 3300 block of Hedgerow Dr. In that case (which happened less than 2 weeks after AW's disappearance) LE made two arrests and has two suspects in custody

I think there are just too many similarities between the two cases to ignore the possibility that they are related: the location, the time of day, and the fact that the incidents occurred less than 2 weeks apart. The 3300 block of Hedgerow is within 3-4 blocks of Inwood at Lemmon, an area that includes a Starbucks take-out, an Ingram's Donuts, and a Wells Fargo bank. The intersection is also approx 1/2 mile from AW's house, and on the way home from the RaceTrac.

The only differences in the incidents being that in the Nov 4 incident, after visiting multiple ATM's to force the victim to withdraw money, the victims were released unharmed by the suspects; that, and the fact that in the Nov 4 incident the vehicle was recovered by DPD during the actual car chase and apprehension of the armed kidnappers. In AW's case, there appears to have been no quick realease of the hostage, and the car was later dropped in a S Dallas location (an area which might've been convenient to one of the suspects).

We obviously don't know at this point if a crime has even been committted against AW. But if a crime WAS committed, and if it was a crime with a similar MO to the November 4 aggravated kidnapping incident, I don't think we would necessarily have been told by LE or the Family whether any attempts had been made to use AW's cards at various ATM's, or whether any ransom demands had been received by the family (similar to the Nov 4 incident).

<modsnip>

I hope Allen is found safe, and soon!

In the gas station video I can’t help but feel like he seems anxious, then hearing that he walked into the store for a few seconds and left sort of adds to the whole anxious vibe I get from him. Obviously I don’t know his baseline/normal mannerisms but that’s just how he came off to me.
I tend to agree. If I were nervous I would probably hold the pump like he did. I don't think he was worried about putting exactly 5.00 worth of gas in because thats what it had in it when he picked it up from the dealership or thats all he could afford. If I thought someone was following me I would probably go into the store until they left or I thought they left.

Does anyone know if this type/year of Porsche automatically locks when you start driving? If it does and someone tried to jack him, Wouldn’t you drive away? Seems more likely he did stop one more place if it does auto lock. What I cant get past is if he was car jacked one mile from his house, why did the take him too? His body couldn’t be hidden that well in that area. Second, if it was a hook up gone wrong why was he moving closer to his house? Seems like you’d be moving away so you wouldn’t potentially see someone you know. <modsnip>

<modsnip: Quoted/broken post was removed>

This is a problem for me. If you steal that kind of car, you would think you're going to profit from it, even with other possible crimes occurring during that time. Why steal something to make a profit and not actually make a profit? IMO
Moo I think the fast reporting about him being missing and car details being released foiled any attempts to unload it. They probably thought they’d have 24 hours or more and didn’t. So they ditched it.

Yes, the way he was holding the pump was really strange to me and exactly what I was referring to when I mentioned he looked anxious. Thing is I lean more toward voluntary disappearance and feel like he may have been suffering from some anxiety. I can see how others lean more towards carjacking for sure though.
