Do landfills usually have CCTV? I would think at the very least the two gas stations near where his car was found do, and probably the pawn shop, too.

I believe that LE has much more information that they are holding close to the vest. There are just too many questions unanswered at this stage ... they’ve got to know more... hopefully processing the car and reviewing CCTV has yielded some clues and we’ll hear more soon. <modsnip>

Remember how law enforcement classified this case as a "Want to locate" case? If foul play was involved, why would the investigators want the public to think that they just "want to", but not "need to" locate Alan White?

Marisela Botello's is classified as the same. Per the Heavy article for Marisela: According to the department, a “‘Want to Locate’ is when a family member wants to find an individual that they have been unsuccessful with contacting, so they file a want to locate report with the police.”

Interesting. I've never heard of a Want to Locate.

At this point I suspect local LE has a LOT of information that has not been made public.

Data from any home computer/devices = search history, emails, browser history
Cell phone data = calls, texts, location/map history
Car's GPS data
Car's fob data
Banking/credit card usage
Surveillance/home Ring cams

Pretty much all of us use all these things every single day. Super convenient tech tools that make our life easier, and also make it much easier for LE to track where we've been, if the need ever comes up (and it does, a LOT).

Exactly... but if it is just a want to locate, and NOT criminal HOW MUCH, and WHAT can they exactly do without warrants, invasion of privacy, etc? In this case, I assume a spouse can give permission?

Dallas police spokeswoman Melinda Gutierrez said the car was found in southeast Oak Cliff, in the area of Bonnie View Road and Simpson Stuart Road.

She said there’s a “want to locate” report for White on file. Such reports are filed when relatives want to get in touch with someone they have had trouble contacting.

No other information about White’s disappearance or how his car was found was available, Gutierrez said.

I’m just now understanding more of Alan’s background. He is likely a very smart guy. Interesting in that he just joined Grant Thornton in aug 2018.

In this situation, I would like to know who talked to him last, other then his husband ? Not pointing fingers but his husband does resemble him. With the video's I've seen, could be either. IMO.

Interesting; it also says that someone broke in via breaking a window and took property from that LA Fitness the morning of the 27th. A lot happening around this part of town, huh? Is there anyway to see the crimes that occurred farther back than 7 days?

Surveillance Video Shows KPMG Executive Moments Before He Vanished

He parked in almost perfect view of the camera, clearly not in distress when he left. He left much later than previously reported, closer to 6:00am. I would think the video before this would have shown if someone had jumped in his car and was waiting.

Bottom line- this shows somebody driving off on their own so whatever happened, happened afterward.

In the very last interview that his Brother did on WFAA, the time was reported as 5:38 am.

Did the video have a timestamp showing he left later than 5:38? I didn't see one.

No timestamp, I am going by the text. In the text it says at around 6:00am, close to 6:00am...

Sadly this seems like a tragic victim of crime IMO. He seems like a very accomplished and dependable person with a full life and close-knit friends and family who care about him. Very sad.

We still haven't heard a word from Alan's Husband??
Strange but maybe Alan's brother is designated as the "Spoke Person" for the all of them.
Hmmm
Based on comments on some of the MSM articles and MSM social media posts, sadly I think the family was wise to have a sibling and friend as spokespeople. This helps keep focus on missing person case (the vehicle, the face, the bag, the locations). It’s not right, but sadly some people get distracted by issues of sexual orientation. The last thing this poor family needs are hateful comments focused on their loved one’s orientation. JMO

Sad that topic would even come up (not aimed at you MIV). Alan is clearly loved by many, if you haven't already, go read his facebook page. Heartwarming, genuine, family oriented, are a few descriptions that come to mind.

I'm worried that Alan was a victim of foul play, either random in nature or meeting up with the wrong person. Just don't see this as a man who needed to get away for a while, I don't think he would worry his family in that way. Hoping his loved ones receive news soon.

?, did I read that there is no bank activity since he disappeared or am I confusing cases? I just don't see why a stranger would do this and not get anything out of it. It seems more personal to me. I could be wrong. IMO
