I don't know a ton about decomposition but I do know it takes more than a day or two, correct? So if there is decomp, even partial, then she did NOT die yesterday at any time, correct? Some of you know way more than me, so please educate me on this . I would think it would have to be at least a 2 /3 days or MORE timeline.

I would think, even in the heat they've been having and wrapped in a tarp, we'd be talking at least 12-24 hrs.

Just mentioning again that, as far as I know, it is not possible to track the "decomp" rumor to its actual source. (It's on CNN but their source (local TV affiliate) does not mention decomp on their site.)

Agreed. And this report now says that she was "gagged" as well as bound and bag over the head. http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/Body-found-in-tarp-in-Saginaw-neighborhood-213940401.html

Seems to be a lot of confusion on the exact details. (Which makes it no less horrific, just confusing in trying to determine timeline, and if the parents' sequence of events is even possible)

Hopefully they will get prints from that plastic bag that was around her head. :please: This child killer must be caught.

Sadly imo I think a reporter arrived and spoke to the teens that found her and they told the reporter the child's head looked swollen and reporter thinking it was decomposition ??? IDK So sad. Time will tell the sad story.

Thankful their was a witness who saw the truck, plus having the tarp and also the plastic bag, I think this will be solved.

I wonder if LE is looking at RSO's???

Have the police been able to identify this poor girl yet?

Ive been bouncing from one news station to the next all morning and have not seen them publicly identify her. If you go to the scanner thread I think you will see her name.

Yes, but not publicly although I think I've worked out who she and her family are :(

http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/07/02/4977697/body-of-young-girl-found-in-saginaw.html

Neighbors have told local television news stations that the girl was found naked, with her hands and feet bound and a bag over her head. A plastic bag was found under the tarp, police said Tuesday. Authorities did not provide any other details.

http://www.khou.com/news/texas-news...n-neighborhood-near-Fort-Worth-213982631.html

Police say the body of a child was found bound and gagged with a bag over the head in a tarp at about 7:30 p.m. Monday night in the intersection of Cindy Ln. and Roundrock Dr. in the Parkwest neighborhood of Saginaw.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_...-tarp-on-street-in-saginaw-texas-report-says/

Authorities say they are searching for a red truck with some green paint splattered on the rear passenger side in connection with the investigation. The make and model of that truck are unknown.

I wonder if any neighbors have said anything about her specifically. Did she have any kids on the block she played with , hung around. Was she commonly out and about and a happy girl? Have they seen her lately , since school got out ?

If they didn't know the body fell out...how was the tarp still covering the entire body? It just seems kind of odd that the body falls out, and the tarp falls out to, perfectly on top of the body. I'm not saying it's not possible, just that you would think the tarp would be off a bit, and part of the little girl's body would be in open view. Or even that the little girl would be on top of the tarp instead.

Maybe the red truck with the green splotch is a red herring?

Just thinking out loud.

I think to the untrained eye, someone roughed up and possibly falling out of a moving vehicle may look decomposed.

I've seen two comments about someone's appearance after falling out of a moving vehicle and wanted to state my opinion- post mortem injuries don't bleed and bruise so I don't think that's it. I think maybe the news added "decomposed" to their stories without getting their facts straight.

I think that she was in the back and when they either went forward after stopping at the stop sign there or when they made a left turn, the tarp and body slid out.

Yes, I live near a carpet store and the carpets are unloaded by the guys stopping and advancing abruptly. I think the victim fell out because of the vehicle stopping at the stop sign and then taking off. I wonder if the vehicle made a screeching sound at that point that caused people to notice the truck.

I think I did to but I did my looking the way it is asked not to do. So I shall keep my thoughts to myself.

Looking at your aerial photo, they also could have pulled up wide at that stop sign, and pushed her out of a passenger door.

Since teens discovered the body, I'm guessing that tarp placement is NOT the original placement.

If someone abducted a girl, the person would get out of dodge right away. But this person didn't do that. This person killed the girl and wrapped her in a tarp and then decided to drive into a neighborhood near her home. That makes very little sense.
