There are a LOT of homes around here with surveillance cameras, I am hopeful they are able to piece together a lot of info about the traffic in the area that day. Makes me bump buying our own surveillance system to the TOP of my wish list now.....
Wishing I could watch the video of the teenager behaving weird. Dang phone!!!

DO NOT SLEUTH MINORS!

Playing devil's advocate, if they did suspect someone in that neighbor's home, why would they only have two plain-clothed LE investigating inside the house and why would they emerge with only one paper bag, which didn't look terribly full? I suppose they could be playing nice so they don't raise someone's guard but, still, it seems like an awfully meek and unobtrusive investigation if they truly believe someone in that house committed a crime. Just a thought.
We have surveillance cameras around our home. Its such a comfort.
Maybe the paper bag contained something that the resident contacted LE about seeing or finding?

THANK YOU! It is just as likely, if not MORE so, that this neighbor could have had a security video, or other information that they provided to LE. In fact, for all WE know, the neighbor may have called in information to LE and this was a follow up visit regarding that info.
Or maybe this was one of the houses where Alanna would go to play, and she left something there. Maybe something associated with the case was out in the yard, and the residents called it in. Maybe while doing their routine questioning of neighbors, the mom said, "Here! I just baked some chocolate chip cookies. Take some with you," and the detectives said, "Well, thankya! We just happen to have a handy bag out in the car to carry them in!" I don't know. I do know THIS: No self-respecting Texan calls a station wagon/SUV a truck. Citified yuppies who want to act all big and bad: Yes. Texans of any upbringing: Uh, no.

You know better than I do about that! I have a feeling, based on some posts on the Saginaw News facebook, that a girl was the person who gave the description of the vehicle of interest. I'm guessing a little girl but I could be totally wrong on this. It could be the reason there isn't a better description of the "truck" (size, make, model, etc.) The paint info is a good detail though. JMO

Didn't the police try to visit the house they went to today on the 3rd but no one was home? I think it was that house. I doubt they are suspects more then likely just wanting to ask a few questions maybe about seeing Alanna that day. If its true what media reported and someone from the house cuts grass for neighbors then I wonder if he was cutting grass that day b/c it was nice outside prefect to cut a lot of yards and not have to keep stopping due to heat. If he was outside then he might have seen her out and about and helping the police with estimated last time she was seen.
Well I am not a Texan, but all three of my grandchildren were born in Texas. You can substitute "Mississippi," "Arkansas," "Oklahoma," "Tennessee," "Alabama," or Georgia," for "Texas."
My grandz will be here late tonight. They are 2, 4, and 6, two girls, one boy. I'm going to do a mini poll on the question of SUV/station wagon/truck. I'll ask my "Yankee" DDIL too, just to add in another girl.
OT LOL@ the ' yankee' DDIL !
