I don't recall 100% if it was this case but I remember reading that her hair was wet?...Can anyone confirm or deny this???

I don't personally recall reading or hearing that but don't take that as it wasn't said, I can be a bit of a scatterbrain at times

Probably the search warrant should not have been released right now, IMO...not going to help as far the public looking at the family, as there are some pretty odd and specific items on there.

I have a feeling it was released for a reason...

because it seems so revealing... To have this info out in the MSM...

Would accidents like that really happen with LE?

:dunno:

This article (above) provides a great deal more information regarding the searches...

129 pieces of evidence was collected
3 family cars searched... ford Taurus, Honda Odyssey, Hyundai Elantra
3 Locations searched
Items taken... Computers, Arm and leg restraints, receipts from Walmart and Lowe's

Note: There is more info in article...

I am confused about what three locations were referred to...

Can someone else read it and help decipher, please?

TIA...:seeya:

I think the three locations are

1) family home
2) Walmart
3) Lowes

Derr never mind. I'm going to actually read the warrant now

The cats. That must mean cat hair was found on her.

Back to arm and leg restraints.

Handcuffs are not considered leg restraints, are they?

Are they considered arm restraints?

But, if the cat hair matches or the hot tub water matches water in her lungs or whatever, then would there be this car search?

No, but if you had more "formal" restraint items, why would you use red tape?

Also, the house was searched hours after Alanna was found.....the description implies the water was still hot.

And, if they were quite sure the perp was family I don't know why LE would be all over the neighborhood like this now on the day/time of the 1 week anniversary.

I may end up wrong, but until someone in that house is named by LE as POI/suspect......I feel absolutely horrible for the way they are being portrayed/perceived.

That is why I wish the Sw was not made public...it looks worse than it probably is. Why does everyone need to know, right now, what LE removed? (Much as we love to know...)

Was the search warrant released to the media/public? I thought a reporter had saw it lying on the seat of a car and took a picture of it through the window.

I don't recall that either. At all, but my memory sucks, too. It wouldn't surprise me, though, considering she may have been in that tarp for hours and it was a hot day :(

While the search warrant info is concerning, you can buy adult "restraints" in any lingerie shop, on amazon, adult toy parties, etc. I know that some of you reading this have played around with things like "fuzzy handcuffs" between consenting adults (and I don't blame you one bit for not speaking up). I think that if any of that evidence was a slam dunk, a family member would already be in jail and LE would not be searching every car on the street today.

I'm curious, though, why they apparently collected cat hair, seemingly from two different cats. I wonder if they found cat hair on her--or maybe it's just eliminate all possible hairs from the home?

It can be to eliminate too right?

It sounds, from the wording, that someone leaked it.

The point I was trying to make is if they took water from the hot tub, does that mean that she had water in her lungs? That they wanted to compare? Did she drown/was drowned? Seeing as we don't have COD yet, I thought that was interesting.

Ohhhh.....the water was from a hot tub (like a spa). I thought they meant a tub of water in the house. Nevermind my second point, then!

Could the restraints be related to medieval reenactments?

They took samples of the hot tub water. (Alanna was found only wearing her panties.)

I keep replaying the officer in that press statement saying that "things like this happen in our community".

One of the ways LE is at its best when it's attempting to solve a crime is when it's shaking up public perception by drawing attention to an aspect of the case - this can cause people to remember something they've forgotten, and it can also cause the perp to get nervous, and make mistakes.

I often think LE is too opaque; LE always thinks the public is too opaque.

Arm and leg restraints are a fairly common sex toy for people who are into various levels of bondage. It can range from silk or velvet handcuffs and/or ankle cuffs for a little light bondage play to elaborate contraptions of metal, leather, or rubber (depending on the particular fetish). Yes, consenting adults.

I guess it's not little house on the prairie but I would consider this an innocent explanation.

There was some speculation last week that maybe she drowned and someone tried to cover it up.
