My son is an engineer so I know these things can be figured in a flash. But, he already thinks I should be commited so I don't know if I wamt to add to the list of reasons,

I was so hoping that someone on here could do it simce we have so little info to go on.

I am gearing up to ask him.

Engineers love a problem to solve. If he brings up having you committed, mention that you are just trying to get a return on your tuition investment.

I can go with this thinking, but not definitely.
I can think of several different theories, a watcher being one, a stalker of her would fit in that equation too.
but how does one simply leave a bundle at curbside?
Gardners could, carpenters could.
Just trying to grip who would think this looked normal.
Think about a situation where you had to get rid of something, accidentally blowing your nose in your sleeve, stepping on something awful like dog poop and then imagine you are at a wedding, or a graduation, where such a benign behavior that happens to all of us could be embarrasing. Never could we imagine killing someone, especially a little child and, in our worst nightmares, trying to cover it up. Our guy isn't bothered at all, except to be caught. Our slight embarrassments don't bother us either, unless we are caught. Just trying to give you some perspective. Our killer is embarrassed by what he does but only if he is identified as the perp. The embarrassment factor is hard to explain and even we gals who have empath, have a hard time understanding the mindset of a killer who wants his actions to be uncovered but is still ashamed to face his family and friends.

Does Alanna's body released for burial rather quickly tell us anything?

I think it's a good sign...thoughts?

I am surprised they did that! You can bet that if they charge someone, that person's lawyer will want further testing or some such thing.

The whole thing gets more complicated if the family chooses cremation. Know what I mean?

911 call (audio only file)
Saginaw 911, where is your emergency?
Caller: We have a dead body on the corner of Round Rock & Cindy Lane in Saginaw.
911: Round Rock & Cindy Lane?
Caller: Yes, mam. I think it's a little girl in a plastic bag. Somebody dropped it off.
911: And what exactly is it?
Caller: I think it's a baby girl, a little girl.
911: And you say its in a baggie?
Caller: Yes, Its in a bag & everything. Its in a bag, it was tarped (instead of propped??) up. My kids opened it up. Because they said they were playing around with a dead body. I didn't open it all the way up but I can see the legs and eveything. There's a belt around it. Tape.
911: How big is it, is it small like?
Caller: I'm going to say probably.... oh, age ?
911: Well, is it a small like a Walmart bag or like a bigger trash bag?
Caller: Its a black trash bag. I don't know if its real. It looks real. I don't want to put my fingers all over it.
911: Thats fine.

I've heard another version that is a few seconds longer, but the extra seconds were to get the caller's identifying information. (propped is the one word, I"m not sure is what the caller says.)

I keep having a feeling that 2 people will be arrested for this crime. Can't say why just a gut feeling. Hope I am wrong.

Propped, rather than dropped, would change everything. Is there a way to get an official transcript of this call?

Could the caller have been saying 'wrapped up'? Then it would read: Yes, Its in a bag & everything. Its in a bag, it was wrapped up. My kids opened it up.

Maybe?

Yes...definitely when transcribed, that is the phrase that stood out to me: propped up.

Prior to the transcription, "dropped off" stood out to me.

The words/phrases appear to go together, so to speak. May be why caller used the phrase "dropped off" to begin with.

Wow is all...

This case unnerves me much.I really don't know how anyone in that neighborhood is sleeping at night, and I bet things are tense as all get out behind closed doors.
The window of opportunity appears so narrow....
I keep thinking of little ALanna warning strangers to not come in the yard- she had to have been aware of what constitutes a stranger...........I fear her perp was known to her:(
imho

I thought I heard "playing and found"

Not "playing around" with a dead body.

MOO

Are you saying that the defense attorney could request that the child's body be exhumed? Are there any examples where that has happened? I feel like the parents of the victim would have to give permission...

Not "playing around" with a dead body.

That would make more sense & make me feel better, too!

This is a very good point, and Fwiw, I think you are right on the money

  • #295
After much review, I think it is tarped up, too. But I also think its still playing around with, not playing & found.

Used headphones for clarity: I hear "playing around with."

Anyone else?

Just out of curiosity, if a person were arrested for this crime, would they be booked in the Tarrant County Jail regardless of where they were arrested?

That sounds cryptic, but I don't mean it to be. I'm just curious if the perp was arrested in another county, would they then be given over to Tarrant County or is it different bc FBI is involved or how does that work?

Correction

Agree after listening with headphones: sounds like..."tarped up" rather than propped up
