That's what I remember. 4 or 5 and I believe the source for the 5 info came from a parent, dad iirc when he returned from work.

There is info on this somewhere,

Two different reports. One that the child was last seen at 4 and another that days that the child was seen at 5. A poster on here said that the LE reported the 4 time. It is on here somewhere.

I have also read two different stories,

They were all home.

And KG, who is not the bio father, came home at 8.

Perhaps someone has more solid info to share?

I live closer to saginaw blvd and I'm kind of close to the highway, so I hear sirens pretty regularly. If it seems like more than usual, I'll sometimes open up the scanners to see what's up, but not always. That night I really don't remember hearing a ton of sirens. I may have tuned it out though. Living near a busy railroad and an airport has caused me to tune out a lot of the outside noises.

They may not have used sirens only their lights. Once the first car gets there and confirms the victim is deceased there is no need for everyone to rush with sirens. They need to get there for evidence and questioning etc quickly but no need for sirens. Had they all used sirens I bet that would have drew in a bigger crowd at the very beginning.

I am sure it did spread. Which is why the father started looking for her, I presume.

That day was bad when it came to breaking news. I believe Alanna's body being found made it 4 breaking news moments that hit my twitter and facebook accounts that day.

Ugh. I just saw confirmation of the time KG got home and that the other two adults and other two children were home during this time while I was searching for that other link! Wish I would have grabbed it then for ya!

I keep reading reports that KG is the father,

I am wondering why that continues to be reported as MM is the father.

It bothers me as does he not get to speak and grieve for his child?

MM is the biological father.

I'm sure he is grieving. It's entirely possible he does not want to speak publicly. Not everyone in a family does-we choose the best person for the job, or the most willing.

Eta: If MSM starts getting into "not her biological father but shares parenting responsibilities with his wife-Alanna's mother-and Alanna's biological father-Alanna's mother's other husband"...I think that's a can of worms they are unwilling to open out of respect for the family or simply because none of it really matters in the grand scheme of things. Moo

That said, the second half of the quoted statement is what is really bothering me: HOW do you know this will be/is an isolated incident? Ugh.......

sbm

yes, THAT. that bugs me. no confidence in that statement.

MM is the biological father.

That has not been verified. One news source said that, but KG is speaking as her father.

I am trying hard to hold my tongue on this case. All I can say is IMO 5 is correct. IMO she told her parents where she was going, hence why the gap in time last seen to the time KG started looking for her. Somewhere along the way she was snatched.

i asked before, and it got deleted, so now i have two questions:

<modsnip> I'm trying to learn all the rules, promise!

It's because under WS terms of service, we don't sleuth family members.

I can understand that. The difficulty in speaking.

But let us say you are divorced and your child lives 50% of the with the other family. How would you feel if people referred to the other family as the parents and you were never spoken of?

It's not like someone lost a mitten. The child is gone.

But, whatever. People are all different, obviously

???
This person might have not been wearing gloves. He/she either dumped or lost the body on the street. That doesn't suggest some master criminal.

I agree, just thought I'd throw this out there, thought it might be informative for some cases, and just a slight possibility in this one.

Hi, new to forum. Live in FW burb not far from Saginaw. This happened night before we left for 4OJ vaca & has been consuming me all week. First, condolences, thoughts, prayers to family, friends, and community.
Next, I've been all over the place w/ respect to suspicions (as it appears we all have), and want to say:
1. Re: time between 5pm last sighting by family & 9'ish missing person report.....I grew up in 70's & as long as I checked in and said where I was going, enjoyed a pretty long leash. Of course, not so much at kindergarten age, but....we don't know where parents thought she was, other than "in & out" (as was I). I can see where if there were regular reports, you were making dinner after work, she didn't show for dinner you'd start looking, calling...sounds like father got involved when he got home & flagged LE that was then canvassing area. Like the time of death, time reported missing is likely more administrative formality in this case than recording of actual events.....
2. Not saying that this is serial, Opal's killer, etc....but: there are times when these perps lie dormant, often after close calls. Some even escalate by taunting, as placement of body (if intentional) implies. BTK took a long sabbatical before essentially reterrorizing his community & flipping LE the bird again.
3. LE has, at best completely figured this out and is simply playing chess now (God, I pray......), or at worst is completely mishandling this considering the contradictory statements they've made.
As for me, I'll be keeping my babies in eyesight. Praying for justice for Alanna......

:welcome5: Gingerzmomma! :wagon:

thoughtful post!

i asked before, and it got deleted, so now i have two questions:

how is it certain he is bio dad?

and why was my previous post deleted when i asked this? I'm trying to learn all the rules, promise!

Posts like this are typically deleted for the following reason:

Victim Friendly

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civl and constructive way and ONLY IF IT IS RELEVANT TO THE CASE. Additionally, sleuthing family members that are not suspect is not allowed. Don't make random accusations or post personal information (even if it is public) like parking tickets, address, or first and last names of all their relatives and their neighbors. Also, never "bash" or attack them, or accuse them of involvement. However that does not mean that family members cannot come into discussion as the facts and issues of the case are discussed.
