I do not believe LE about the restraints,

What I mean is they know she was taped. Tape is tape. Obvious. They can see it. It leaves marks if put on while alive.

Why would they take restraints if they have the physical tape?

I think, there are marks on her body that are not from tape.

The warrant said things that can be used to restrain. Nope, there is more to the story.

Exactly.

IMO...Noting history of activity on computers is very revealing for investigations...

Just think of the history on OUR (Websleuthers) computers...:gasp:
My most recent "wth?" is "arsenic cyanide purchase quick delivery."

One of Alanna Gallagher's parents talked to @wfaachannel8 about the investigation, that fateful day and HOURS of police questioning. AT TEN.

If you want to make it sound as dark as possible, yes, bondage.

"Adult novelties" is also a standard term.

You can buy this stuff in Spencer's at the mall, or at Walgreens.com (seriously, click on "Sexual Wellness" (or don't, of course), and you will find the items within two clicks.

I understand it raises some eyebrows, but I am also 100% sure at least some people reading along have these items in their homes right now or have played around the equivalent of 'fuzzy handcuffs'.

Just to be clear, there was no judgement coming from me.

It is, what it is.

All of the news outlets have the story tonight.

Is it 10pm EST, or CST (meaning closer to two hours)?

Despite the fact that I am leaning pro-family, meaning I would be relieved if an outside perp is caught, I am somewhat skeptical of the two girls reporting the red truck. I don't know, and forgive me for saying so, but in the one still frame I saw the girls just looked super excited and happy to be on TV.

There was a rash of reported abduction attempts after JR's murder, and everyone was seeing mysterious 'blue cars' everywhere.

Same here. I am following the case of a woman poisoned by cyanide. Still no arrest.

Sorry doesn't cut it. During a big investigation, WS members provide delivered take out so as not to disrupt the investigation.

But as a newbie, you are forgiven , but just this one time

Yep..... My family left me 5 days ago... I just realized it an hour ago...

I will miss them... :sigh:

My laptop that I hardly ever use anymore is full of research on it from the Cynthia Sommer case

I'm thinking that as well.

If this has been brought up before now, I apologize. I haven't seen it posted..
Using Occam's razor principle, the body was probably wrapped in what was close at hand and such item may have been used for a common practice in Texas in the fall and winter, and was now available for another use in hot weather.

In Texas, many private pools and spas ( permanent type hot tubs, but probably not that soft side thing) are covered with tarps during the fall and winter.

Large or custom- shaped pools usually have custom fitted pool covers in my part of the woods, but many people just use a very large tarp weighted down on the ends. An in-ground spa or a heavy fiberglass spa located outdoors could also easily be covered with a tarp in the off- season.

The tarp would definitely have pool and spa chemical residue on it. This could be another reason why the pool water was obtained. IDK.

Also, another thought on the red tape. Anyone involved in health care has access to Biohazard tape, which is always red in color and is used to seal items containing bio- hazardous material. IDK if this will come into play in Alanna's case, but wanted to add another type of red tape for consideration.

IMO,
Maria

Great observation on the tarp having pool/spa residue! I had not considered that. I don't know anyone around me who covers their pools...not many trees in my part if Texas. The main thing I see tarps being used for is to cover boats.

The fox station has news at 9, all other local affiliates start news at 10. It is currently 8:17 in Texas. If you can find the fox4 link, it should start in about 40 minutes.

Their father saw the man try to get the girls come to his truck, father talked to him, and has his license number.

I'm hoping if I'm ever arrested based on my computer history and searches you all take up a collection and come testify on my behalf!

I have heard the saying that "A REAL friend will erase your computer before the coroner gets to you."

Sounds easy enough of a lead to follow up on. I can't imagine anyone going to snatch two kids off the street would do it with a fridge in the back of a pick up.

So LE has identified him by now, surely?

I am not sleuthing the parents and certainly am not accusing them, but can someone tell me why LE would search the family home and gather so much evidence when they are not suspecting the parents? I think I might be missing something here and am just asking.
TIA
