well, I'm pretty sure a dating site is public info. I personally made the comment because one of their "friends" could have been a predator. You never know. Geez.

He was questioned and thinks it was to compare his story to those of his wife and Karl. He said he saw Alanna (did not say what time) who went to play with a friend.

I'm late coming back to this thread after dinner and bedtime stories, and probably falling asleep in my kid's bed with her...but I'm not entirely sure on that one.

Is he just now being questioned for the first time? Over a week later? If so, I wonder why.

I don't know if he is being questioned for the first time. But they already questioned the two other parents. He says they were trying to compare what he told them to what his wife and her other husband told them.

That's an excellent point. Why did bio dad avoid the reporter's question on what time he last saw Alanna? Bio dad doesn't appear to have hearing problems.

Bio Dad is also the only one in household that could possibly fit a 38-46 belt size, Laura is bigger than Karl.

I do as well, just wondering what LE might be thinking. So, how can the non-bio dad be the legal dad? Did the bio dad relinquish his rights and let the other guy adopt her? I'm just no realizing there was a third parent in the family and have no idea what their arrangement is. Which one is the mom legally married to, if the bio dad and the legal dad are not the same? I assumed the one w/ the same last name, but the comment about the legal dad = I'm so confused!

As in if someone claims to have seen her out and about far sooner?

Would it be because legal dad is the legal dad because of marital status to the mom? As in any child born of the marriage becomes his legal child.
Bio dad, well that's because he is the actual person who helped make this child.

To locals: Is this story big news in the DFW area? I ask because Dallas is where I'm from originally and my family had no idea this happened. It seems weird to me, almost like her murder isn't being noticed. Thoughts?

My kids are active in sports that involve other children around Saginaw, but not in Saginaw. The other moms are not concerned with this case, even with one of my children being a classmate of hers.

A Texan on this thread described this earlier. Because Laura is married to Karl, any children she produces are considered to be legally Karl's according to Texas law.
