Missed this one earlier.

Alanna's parents thought she'd gone to play at a certain friend's house, but those friends weren't home.

I don't know exactly what time she was seen last.

I don't know of her ever having had sleepovers.

LG texted me at 10:30 at night to tell me everything that was going on. Up until that point, she had been busy looking for Alanna.

This statement just sends ROCKETS up from my chair. I'm trying to think of the other child case I know of with this exact statement.

You currently are holding a very huge piece of this puzzle. I'm ASSUMING the police know this information.

Without telling us who can you circle on a map on the street in front of the house where this friend lived?

WAS ANYONE ELSE HOME WHEN THE FRIEND WAS NOT.

This is 'IT' in my opinion. This is when the black hole opened up. Someone was on that street when the friend wasn't home.

Sends chills right down my spine.

I want to catch this/these people so bad it makes my head hurt. I'm not alone.

Soliciting generally depends on a city ordinance, not neighborhood (I don't think). In my city, if I have a "No Soliciting" sign they can't knock on my door, it's illegal for sales people to knock.

In other cities, like Richardson, for example, door to door soliciting is completely forbidden. A friend who lives there has a copy of the ordinance taped to her front door window. She just likes to remind people before they knock.

That doesn't stop some people though. They knock anyway. Most sales people are deterred by my sign. I still get a few who miss it, or ignore it.

Door to door sales people ALWAYS give me the creeps.

I NEVER answer if I'm home alone. I know someone who was attacked by a "salesman".

Back on topic, I keep thinking the person who did this is in the neighborhood she was found, and was just passing through hers. I wonder how many people that Alanna would have know from church or school or whatever live on Cindy or Round Rock?

There is no law that says you have to answer your door.

Also, (I'll spare you the details) from knowing someone who sold a lot of stuff in different towns, I thought they had to get a LICENSE or a PERMIT of some kind to sell stuff door to door in the neighborhood.

We get some pretty funky young folks trying to sell us windshield washing fluid and also frozen steaks.

I just turn to them and say, "You can see me?" I told the doctor no one could see me with my invisibility cloak on."

They usually leave me alone then. :floorlaugh:

That's hilarious! Invisibility cloak!

I whisper loudly when telemarketers call ( I can see that with caller ID right on my tv screen) " it's done, but there's blood everywhere", then ...I hang up!

We have recently been informed (by local LE) in our neighborhood that if we dont answer the door our home might be burglarized because they will think nobody is home.

Someone who knew her. Someone who lured her into a car. They couldn't have left on foot or Someone would have seen them.

People look all the time, but they don't actually consciously " see". IMO

Yes, the police know everything I know. Believe me, I have racked my brain trying to think of more to tell them.

The neighbor was on her street, but I don't know which house, so I couldn't give them away if I wanted to.

AFAIK, no one at all was home. This is what I was told.

And yes, I think that may have been when she was snatched.

Surely LE has much evidence to link to someone! I can't believe they don't.

I won't believe it. Not yet anyway.

We are told to at least let someone at the door know you are home. Buy a dark barking machine. Cough, talk through the door. Whatever.

I ran off most solicitors in the past 5 years. I always told them what our neighborhood watch group sends us via email. Let them know that the neighborhood is being watched and I added I was told by them to call LE if we had solicitors & that we notify each other. It reduced door knockers by 98%. They ran off worried that I was going to call the cops. lol you should have seen these two ladies run selling Valentines candy one year! They weren't neighbors for sure.

Door knockers/doorbell ringers, unsolicited company at your door usually want something from you. Mainly, out here to get a look into your home to steal from you. Big city. Glad we have the other place.

My husband just loves to chat with the evangelicals/witnesses/ that show up!

I really believe that in the interest of justice...LE is being tight lipped.... Tighter than we are used to!

Everyone is aware that high profile cases tend to turn into three ring circuses and IMO justice is hard to come by in high profile cases....

So... I'll put my faith in the people working this case.

OMG... I need to have my hearing AND my "numbering" checked... I don't see that (Binding the Victim) on page 52!!

I didn't mean to post that in such large letters!!!  :blushing:

SORRY about that!!

The numbers showing on the page and the numbers on the pdf aren't correlated. Go up on the top left and in the little box you can type in the page 52 and it will take you to the numbered page 36. Very confusing.

I had been posting about a week ago on what I knew as far as binding especially as it pertains to child abductions. Young child abductions and in my opinion it was more about the sexual gratification rather than the physical restraining of the small child. I didn't have a link to back up my big mouth, so when I finally found this I was encouraged that I hadn't forgotten everything up here.

LOL... No, seriously, I can't see "Binding of the Victim" on page 52. I'm using the numbers at the bottom of each page... but I don't think that's what you're using. I just wanna' see what you see ;)

NEVERMIND: You're using the slider on the right. I'm all good now! (well, mostly anyway)
