So how did he lure Alanna, I wonder? Did he say to her something about his dogs?

Might have, but I kind of imagine he saw her alone and unguarded and just grabbed her...

I know this is the 3rd time I've said this, but for the love, why not clear the family when they has this guy in their sights the whole time? Leaving the most statistically likely people open as suspects makes it hard for people to look past. I kept thinking it felt like a kid, too much Austin Sigg like, but the family not being cleared bugged me and I kept circling back to them.

I do not think the family's lifestyle had anything to do with this as has been suggested repeatedly, possibly the lax parenting style made Alanna an easy target but I have a feeling this sicko was bored and would have preyed in any small child he came across.

IF the evidence was taken (tape and other stuff) from a family car, that would be very perplexing for LE. I would think until they had another suspect they simply can't rule out family...given those items. Another possibility, is they told family they are not suspects, but wanted to keep that wuiet. It seems like the creep thinking the family is the focus, would be good for them. Not necessarily fair for the family, but I understand if they were playing him.

I can't even begin to imagine what his mother is going through, hard enough to lose a child... But learning your own is a monster that you didn't really know at all has to be even harder.
I keep wondering if she knew he was weird and didn't know how to deal with it well. If she was on a roller coaster of a ride through life with him and knew he was a loaded cannon but then he'd come to a point of what she considered doing better and would relax again.

I tried to find info on that school a couple of weeks ago and no luck. I cannot figure out what it is. He had so few friends for a kid that age on FB

Even though it is silly, most hgh school kids have hundreds of "friends" on FB.

I sure wonder what his story is.

The guy who killed

Somer Thompson was a bit older, but he was the same type. Smoking pot and playing video games. That killer was into child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 as well. I wonder if Tyler has abused other children?

This is the exact problem with stranger danger and children.

First of all, children do not have the cognitive skills to put people into categories. We as adults don't always do so well either.

He was in the neighborhood and likely seen by her often and maybe even chatted.

He was a teen. Kids love teens, although he looks pretty scary, doesn't he?

He did not come out of a vaccum. I wonder if we will ever hear his story

I want to know about that school! Where I live there are multiple schools that are listed as private, but some are private because you have to have been in trouble to be placed there, others are Christian based, and others are elite private schools. I'm thinking this one is a private school for troubled teens.

He will be tried as an adult but will not be sentenced as an adult. If he lives and is convicted, the most he could receive is 40 years.

No. It's the same sentence now, as 14-16 year olds. Life with parole eligibility after 40 years. He does not just get out in 40 years. In the past, 17 year olds could get life without parole or the death penalty. They can't now. But they CAN still stay in jail forever, if they do not get let out on parole AFTER 40 years.

I cannot believe all this happened while I couldn't get into Websleuths. I was unable to sign in from about 3:00 am until 12:30 pm. I kept getting a message that the server was not responding. Alllllll night long. Now, I'm finally able to get in. I obviously have a lot of catching up to do.

Frustrated

I'm sure they followed through with the search warrant. Can't wait to see what will be on it and what they will take from the house.

I don't see how a careful conscientious LE investigation could fully rule out the family until they got back whatever results they were waiting for. They could think it was extremely unlikely to be the family, could even have evidence pointing that way, but they have to be aware that evidence could turn up that showed they were on the wrong track.

It sounds like they did exactly what they said: waited for test results and then acted on them. If the results had come back contradicting what they thought instead of confirming it, they'd have had to rethink everything, but apparently it didn't.

Never mind... Watched the video like 6 times... I now think its a table

We’ve exchanged life without parole for life with the possibility of parole. In Texas, that opportunity for parole doesn’t even come up until the prisoner has served 40 years, and good behavior is not a consideration.

I was trying to say that. You did a better job!! :)

Not anymore.

Did you see animal control?

When I first started watching the live feed and animal control showed up I thought, "You got to be kidding." if this was about an officer who shot a dog I'm going to stop watching.

Then the one guy carried out this poor little doggie.

Ohhhh...I was listening to the scanner earlier and they said something about needing ACO to pick up two dogs. Now I know why. I actually drove by there maybe 10 min before It hit the fan. Sighed and hoped for a break in the case. Noticed a police SUV sitting on WJ Boaz as I went into Aldi. Heard sirens a couple of minutes later and didn't think much of it. Started driving back home and wait, why is that small firetruck turning sideways in the the middle of WJ Boaz at the Knowles intersection?? Go past it, turn left, look over, and there are once again police cars blocking off Babbling Brook. Continue on our way home and see an ambulance coming our way. As you can imagine, I could not get home fast enough to find out what was going on. I wonder if he acted alone? I kinda think he did. Hey I was right that it was done by a teenager though never did watch the video that cretin was in or might have suspected him too.

I don't think any of should presume that what he wrote on his FB was true. Perhaps he was kicked out of school and/or incarcerated or 'checked in' to a facility for behavioral issues for periods of time.

I came across a 'North Hills Private School' in Texas, but it was for grades 6-8.

Lots of people BS on their FB page.
