Thank-you for caring, B4... I am hoping that there are many who DO have an eye out for Ali -- hopefully many, many more than read and post here (judging from the looks of it). :(

Bumping for Ali...

As Thanksgiving Day approaches, I cannot help but think of Ali's family and how there will be one empty chair at their table -- waiting for Ali...

Bump.

Reading that made me cry, Shelby...

According to Ali's webpage on FaceBook, there has been another search but, according to JoAnn (Ali's mom), there's nothing new to report.

**sigh**

Bumping again for Ali...

I am of the mind that wherever she is, the person who took her or left with was someone who knew her address and knew her schedule. She had started a job right before she vanished, I am wondering if this job has something to do with this or any other place she may have looked for work.

Keeping a candle in the window for Ali...

I have been coming to this post for years for consolidated information on Ali as I was doing sleuthing of my own here in town, even contacting the company that administers the technology that Spring Independent School District uses with their "chipped ID cards", prompting a sweep of the area for transmission of her school ID tag. My husband and I grew up, and still reside in the area of Spring that the Lowitzer's live in, and both went to the school that Ali went to. I also have a sister Ali's age who lives in the neighborhood across from the Burger Barn, and walks the area regularly, despite Ali's disappearance =( There is not a day that goes by that I don't wonder what happened to this girl... or why it is that no one has any good information. The community will never be the same. My mother in law was even home the day of her disappearance, only a few blocks away from the bus stop. Seemed a normal day as any. I see Joann in the grocery store and I just want to hug her, it must be very difficult to try and move on with your life. Of course I never have, out of respect for her privacy... who would want that when you picking your veggies? But she knows we all care... she sees the large groups that show up for searches, and fundraisers... as well as the flyers that are still in most businesses, on peoples cars, on the exact grocery buggy that she is loading her things into....

I really just wanted to let you all know how close I am to this all, in the hopes if there were any questions that anyone has about the area, I can be of help. And also, to thank people like you all that care about everyone, from everywhere. It took something hitting really close to home to open my eyes to the multitude of missing children that are NEVER found, as well as how bad my home state, even particularly, my metropolitan area of Houston.

Dana,

Your words ring with such sincerity and I think I can speak for anyone reading them when I say that we can all feel your pain at the loss, not only of this very special young lady but at the loss of a way of life I think we all took for granted -- a simpler, more innocent time when it was safe for children to walk around their neighborhoods without fear of having to defend themselves from those with nefarious motivations... Thank-you, as well, for keeping Ali's light shining there in the place she called home...

Bless you,

DanaB,Welcome,
I feel exactly the way you do,I live here too.....I was wondering when you were doing your sleuthing do you have any theories or anything to share out of the ordinary?
As always I have always and probably always will be suspicious about the Burger Barn and I just feel that her disappearance is related to that job.....

Thank-you to all who took part in the search on the 12th... I, of course, am in California and couldn't make it out to Texas to join it but I still hold out hopes that Ali will be found...

Keeping the candle lit for Ali to see her way home...

Father is steadfast for missing daughter

[snip]

"What's it like to have a missing child?" Lowitzer said. "It's hard every day, put it that way. I think about it all day every day. Whenever I'm not focused on something else, my mind goes back to missing her, everything we've done to find out where she is, what we could have done. It still hurts after two years.

"This past weekend, we had a search. It takes a huge emotional toll on me and her mother. You end up breaking down at the end of the day wishing you had found some clue to recovering her, finding out where she is.

"We miss her, and we love her, and we want her back as soon as we can get her here. It's really hard without her. There's an emptiness; there's a hole there, and it's been there since she's been gone."

Just realized, is there any way to find out the names of the owners of burger barn at the time of Ali's disappearance? I live close by and stopped there one day to speak with the people there, and left creeped out by both the people and some of the things they said. Which prompted a call to LRC and then detectives working the case. Seems so odd to me that the owners never posted her missing flyer, helped in searches or showed any kind of concern over Ali having gone missing and then they closed up shop and vanished.:/ I really want to find out the names of these people, but I am sure detectives investigated them, but still, would like to slueth them myself. ??? Any ideas?

Stormy,

I believe you'll find all the info we have on possible perpetrators (profile), the Burger Barn owners (and former owners) and their associates in the following places on this thread:

Page 6: 4th and 14th posts on the page
Page 7: 20th post on the page
Page 8: 4th and 23rd posts on the page

And, to clarify, I think you'll find after reading those particular posts that the owners (and former owners) did NOT "vanish"... They are still in the area and affiliated with other businesses, residences, etc.

flowerlady, thank you for all you do...

I still think about her and wish her to be safe...and found. Such a sad case. :(

It just upsets me so much and I also called LRC and LE about my own experience with the BurgerBarn people....I really, really believe if anyone in LE cared enough and digged deep enough, that's where the answers lie and the case would be solvable.
I really wished I'd know what all did they really do??
