I know I should know this, how far back can LE track cell phone pings? Can LE today, go back years ago to check BSL's cell phone pings? Are they able to go back as far as he had his phone? TIA

Cell phone information that is kept varies on the individual company but may be longer than many think. Also much of this information is digital, so the actual times may be longer than released.

Here is one link that may help. It is though in PDF format.

Additionally, looking at his Credit Card records for that date also might give us some insight. If he is moving around that much, he has to have tanked up somewhere!

So true!

I am hoping they are following anything that is stored digitally.

Hi all, just stopping by to see how things are going; and if there is anything new. I continue to search for anything and everything to find our sweet Ali. Importantly, always room for an additional prayer for her parents.

Jlowitzer, with all due respect, I was attempting to show that this antiquated silence strategy, many times has repercussions. Awareness is the key in missing persons cases, imo. To muzzle awareness of the community has negative consequences.

I have been researching sexual predators/serial killers, etc. for many years and have yet to run across an incident of where a body/remains was relocated to an area that has already been searched/dismissed by an organized search org. However, there are many examples of areas being searched, where the body/remains were missed by LE & SARs on the primary search and found later by hikers, hunters, surveyors, dog walkers, cemetery custodians, etc.

If anyone has an example of the relocation of a victim's body/remains after a primary search, please share it..

As shown in the recent search in Michigan for Jimmy Hoffa, the FBI's policy of silence in missing/murdered persons remain's searches has evolved into the 21st century; the communication era..

New chapter in Jimmy Hoffa search: Police drill at Michigan home

there was the Case in texas of the missing girl ( Sadly I have seen so many I would have to find a link to get her name) who's car was abandoned , LE searched her car at the tow yard, it had been burned, later when her Mother came to look at the car , her Mom discovered the charred remains, that one was so very awful.

sloane7777, it is not uncommon for victim's remains to be missed on primary searches by LE and searchers.
Maybe I didn't make myself clear. 'I don't know of any cases where a perp relocated a victim's remains to an area that was previously searched.

Many times this scenario ends in tragedy, but this is a happy ending to children found in the trunk of a vehicle after over 18 hours of searching:

All I can say is they are looking.

That sounds promising, at least.

I just want to make sure I am understanding correctly- Ali seems to have gone missing between where the school bus dropped her off and the Burger Barn, which is an area of less than a half mile.

And Ali never made it to the Burger Barn to get her paycheck, right?

Is the area between her bus stop and the Burger Barn mostly residential, commercial, or a mix? Just trying to get a visual idea of the area.

Do you know if they gave Brandon Scott Lavergne a lie detector test as far as Ali is concerned?

Once you walk onto the main street there are no houses. But streets that lead to houses, 3 churches, and a couple more businesses. And some woods.

BSL requested a lawyer pretty quick and considering they were DP ones, I am pretty sure they would of advised against him taking one.

As I looked over the investigative reports released, I noted that there were a number of reports not posted or released. I am going to go with the theory that they have indeed withheld alot of information on the assumption that they could be related to other cases.

An example would be the 9,000 plus telephone numbers/calls.

Truthfully, I cannot even imagine the number of pages those would take up. I see virtually nothing forensically.

There are a limited number of reports from individuals they interviewed, and we know they talked to a large number just from the probable cause statement.

I don't see a large number of reports from multiple agencies we know were involved, so will guess once again these are still being withheld.

I'm just glad to hear they're looking into it. Forgive me for my ignorance, there is a PI working on the case for the family, correct? TIA

That's correct, reedus. Mac Sanford. He's been pursuing the possible link between BSL's white truck and the truck seen by a witness when Ali disappeared. Under hypnosis, the witness recalled some of the characters from the license plate. There are stark similarities to BSL's plate. Sorry I don't have a link handy. I think one was posted earlier in this thread.

FYI-

'Simply amazing'! Consider the amount of Awareness provided in missing person's cases since most of these members share on Facebook and other social media sites'..

No, that's what I recall as well. I just started second guessing my memory. The hypnosis is new to me. Was that done before BSL became a POI in Mickey's case? If it was after he became a POI the manner of questioning and how she recalled the partial plates is pretty important.

Bump for Ali.

I followed Mickey's case intently, which brought me to Ali's case. I wish there was someway I could help or something I could do to help find Ali. My heart hurts for her family.

I find myself pondering Ali's case on a daily basis, but it seems hard to get anywhere based on what little we seem to know about her disappearance. Am I right when I say that all we (the public) know is that: 1) Ali got off her school bus; 2) Ali called her mom to say she was going to pick up her check at the Burger Barn; 3) Ali never made it to the Burger Barn & was never seen or heard from again; 4) BSL's sister who he often visited lived in the town where Ali went missing; and 5) a witness (or witnesses) saw a vehicle fitting the description of one owned by BSL at the time in the neighborhood where Ali disappeared?

I hope to goodness LE knows more than what we (the public) knows.

It's like this beautiful girl just disappeared into thin air after talking to her mom when she got off the bus.

Where are you, Ali? Please show someone where you are.
