Beaumont police seek community's help in solving 2017 murder case of Alkevin Mire
Beaumont police asking for public's help to solve cold case
Around 1 a.m. on June 20, 2017, police found Alkevin Mire, 28, fatally shot at a family member's home on the 4500 block of Harding Drive on Beaumont's north side.
Mire's daughter, who was 7 years old at the time, also was shot and later taken to a Houston-area hospital in serious condition, but has since made a full recovery, according to Beaumont police spokesperson Haley Morrow.
The department still does not have any information pertaining to a suspect, and possible motives are still being investigated, Morrow said. Additionally, police do not have any surveillance video captured at or near the residence or the description of a suspect and/or a vehicle the suspect may have been using, according to Morrow.
