GUILTY TX - Andreen McDonald, 29, found deceased, Bexar County, 1 Mar 2019 *husband arrested*

I was hoping this was Andreen (not because we want to find she is gone but they are already pretty certain of that). I want that man back behind bars.

I am so sorry for the family of whoever this may be.

Wow. I’ve been thinking of Andreen all day. She needs to be found ASAP. This just means that another unlucky woman found herself caught up with another abusive and controlling manipulater. Heartbreaking. Always hoping for more answers..
If this is the husband's MO, I wonder if there might be a connection to this body.

I am not surprised at all. Here is why: I suspect potential dismemberment as well as remains charred to fragments, moo. I would also anticipate a more organized disposal, and not right off the road or at a distance so close, jmo.

ETA:
If someone could please help bring forward a map that would be helpful, tia.

He's a monster IMO. I think he was probably jealous of her, maybe felt inferior to her. She was a beautiful, strong, successful woman and I suspect she had a big heart and warm personality, it reaches out from her pictures. Everyone who knew her, loved her deeply. I just hope she can be found and he can spend the rest of his life in prison.

Oh man, 15 years old...:( This is just awful.
It is awful.... and it seems to be happening more often (JMO), that while LE is searching for a known case of a missing person, they come across a body that “may” be who they are searching for, to have it turn out to be the body of someone else, that they sometimes don’t know they should be searching for.... scary and sad.

BCSO expands homicide unit to handle larger amount of cases
[...]

"My homicide unit is heartbroken for the family. They just notified the family of Andreen McDonald that it is not her remains and so the search continues for Andreen," Sheriff Salazar said.

The search also continues for the identity of the woman they found. They're asking anyone who knows of a missing woman around that height, or who knows anything about the scene, to contact BCSO at (210)335-6070 or [email protected].

In the meantime, the sheriff has gotten approval to expand his homicide unit and will assign more deputies to cover cases until they can bring closure to the family and friends of Andreen McDonald, along with another woman whose name has not yet been identified.

Is there a thread for the unidentified remains?

Not her body....

https://www.mysanantonio.com/news/l...ar-Government-Canyon-not-that-of-13746223.php

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office has since determined that the remains belonged to a woman between 5 feet, 2 inches and 5 feet, 4 inches tall.

The burned woman’s height was “just not there,” Salazar said, as Andreen McDonald is reported to be taller.

Height and other identifying factors investigators are not disclosing make authorities certain this is not her, Salazar said Friday at the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

“My homicide unit is heartbroken for the family. They just notified the family of Mrs. McDonald that it is not her remains,” he said. “The search continues for Andreen.”

Salazar said the remains were heavily charred and that they have been there for several weeks.

“We don’t know much about race, body type or build or anything of that nature,” the sheriff said.

Deputies are now reaching out to area law enforcement agencies for missing persons who might fill the general description of the remains.

Salazar said the remains appeared to be burned there in an “intense” blaze. On Friday, authorities were searching the area to find any other evidence.

Identification of the remains found Thursday could take several months, authorities said.

“We were operating under the possibility that this was not Andreen,” Salazar said. “While we remain resolute to continue the search for Andreen and bring closure to her family, we now have another family that we need to identify this victim.”

Salazar also announced in the conference that they are increasing the size of the homicide unit effective immediately.

McDonald’s husband, 40-year-old Andre Sean McDonald, has been a suspect in her disappearance. On March 3, the Air Force Reserve major was arrested on a charge of tampering with evidence. He was released from jail on bail earlier this week and is under house arrest.

Yellow Rose do you remember smelling unusual smoke back then?
No but all of the surrounding neighborhoods are currently allowed to burn trash. There are no CLOSE neighborhoods. My property is 12 acres just so you get an idea of the distance between houses.

I hate that men with children can murder their own child’s mother then leave said child in limbo for the rest of their life.
Him refusing to say where she is just causes a whole lot more pain for that little girl, no one will realise how much yet but this will affect her for the rest of her life.
If he has one single half decent bone in his body he would confess, lead them to her body and his daughter won’t be left wondering where her mother is for the rest of her life.

Unfortunately the men who do this do not seem to have that half of a decent bone in their body...

Just checking in. I am always hoping to see she has been found and/or he is back in jail.

Could be, but it takes about two hours of fire at 1000 degrees to reduce a body down to where the bones start becoming crumbly. A normal "fire" isn't going to fragment bone well.

Something that has always thrown me in this case is they found a fire pit at the house but they also found items that looked as if he had not yet disposed of her that appeared to be purchased to do so and to possibly transport her as well. Where was she when they were at the house finding the other things? Had he already taken her elsewhere and was going to go back and finish the job but did not get to?

I do wish they would find her.

Grace,
What is the temperature of a say, normal bonfire?

Hmm I’m reading that a campfire is at LEAST 1000 degrees Fahrenheit and can get up to 2000.

I don’t know enough about fire and the variables, but I feel that it’s much harder to burn a full human than one would realize? It’s possible he used several means of disposal in tandem..
:(
