What we really need to know is where they stopped. Was it before or after the 5914 West Courtyard Building? Knowing this would assist in determining what direction she may have taken.

Also it is intriguing to me that LE were searching with K-9's at 5:00 am on a Sunday morning. Did they receive a tip?

That is what I wondered also...seems like an odd time for someone to notice at an office building.....perhaps some video was discovered.

Police find missing woman's body in wooded area near Loop 360
Austin police say K-9 crews found 47-year-old Angela L. Morris' body in a wooded area behind a business complex at the corner of West Courtyard Drive and North Capital of Texas Highway/Loop 360 Sunday morning just before 6 a.m.

K-9 crews and detectives were out searching for Morris on Sunday and that's when they found her body.

Time: 5:52 a.m.

Location: 5921 West Courtyard Drive.

Deceased: Angela L. Morris, a white female, born 02-19-1971

On Sunday, August 26 at approximately 5:52 a.m., Angela L. Morris was found deceased. She was located in the woods behind a business complex near the 5900 blk of West Courtyard Drive by search & rescue K-9s and Missing Persons detectives. Mrs. Morris was last seen walking northbound on N. Capital of Texas Highway on Monday, August 20, 2018 at approximately 2 p.m. after encountering car trouble.

Homicide Detectives and the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office are investigating the circumstances of the death and sorting through many of the tips called into the department since Morris’ disappearance. The Medical Examiner’s office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death later this afternoon.

WHO saw her walking northbound on the highway and is that toward or away from where the car was stopped with the flat?

If she was cutting through the woods after leaving the office building after washing her hands she would not have been able to come back down to street level until she came to the intersection of Loop 360 and Highway 2222 as there is a rock barrier between Loop 360 and the wooded areas.

I agree that this mention of tips is good. Hopefully the tips will lead to answers.

Wouldn't there be surveillance cameras all around office buildings?

This is deeply saddening. I do think there will be an arrest soon. I hope so.

Sad ending. If this is a homicide, who would kill her and why? Looks like she didn't make it to 360 since she was found behind a building very close to where their car was. Perhaps she was cutting through the woods because of the heat and she had a heat stroke or a heart attack?

I’m not well versed on heat stroke, can it come on quickly? It didn’t say how far, but the articles I read stated she wasn’t far from the car, although that’s relative, I guess. I would think she could find help if she were feeling ill, too bad she didn’t have the phone. I’m hoping it wasn’t foul play. Very sad.

A bit of new info in this article - appears surveillance video may have held clues:

“Building management at the Bridgepoint Plaza, which is located on Courtyard Road, tells KXAN Morris did come into their building on Aug. 20. The building has handed their surveillance footage over to police.”

Hopefully there are some clues on the surveillance footage for the police.

This makes me very sad.

Her photo shows that her smile lit up her face. A beautiful, kind smile.
