TX TX - Armaidre Antwan Marquie Argumon, 5 weeks old, Wells, Cherokee Co., 18 Sep 2020 *dad arrested*

Is there a chance the mom is in some kind of protective custody? I'm shocked she isn't talking. IMO

If you want to go down the FB rabbit hell ... errr I mean... rabbit HOLE ... you can likely find answers there. IMO she is not in protective custody...or any kind of custody.

Poor baby, I don't think he is alive.

This really doesn't look good - they are asking for the public to look out for small fresh graves:

“We’re asking that the public be vigilant while in the community,” Dickson explained. "While you’re on your property, on the deer lease, while you’re visiting family at the cemetery, be vigilant.

“Look for anything out of place; look for small, fresh graves. Just anything that would raise a suspicion. Do not touch it, and call local law enforcement.”

[...] They are asking residents who have seen "fresh graves" in the woods or near cemeteries, to contact officials as soon as possible. They also asked if anyone is keeping the infant to please hand him over to authorities.

Oh noo...

I really don't understand the motive/logic here. The father is released from jail on Tuesday and for some reason abducts and disappears his infant on Friday? Why?

The only reason I can think of for the father to abduct the baby after being released from jail is if the child isn’t his. I haven’t been reading anything on FB so this is just my own theory. I’m not sure how long he was in jail before being released, but if he came home and found a baby that couldn’t have been his (i.e. the result of an affair while he was in jail), rage may have motivated him to punish the mother. Probably farfetched, but nothing else makes sense to me.

Or she wasn't going to take him back in and in spite took the child. IMO. I don't have anything to support that though.

Yes, that is actually even more likely than what I posted.

From your link:
Investigators have charged DeAndre Argumon, father of Armaidre Antwan Marquie Argumon, with endangering and/or abandoning a child.
...
Dickson said during an interview about his son’s disappearance, Argumon did not cooperate with detectives. The sheriff added that there was no indication that Armaidre was a victim of foul play.

“The father was released from jail on a parole violation last Tuesday. He had been around the father for three day,” he said.

Well, it's good news that LE has now charged the father with endangering and/or abandoning a child - at least they're connecting him to Armaidre's disappearance.

But he tells people to look for fresh graves and the father is not cooperating yet LE isn't sure if Armaidre is/was a victim of foul play? That makes no sense. The baby certainly didn't walk off on his own. Even if some highly unlikely... accident... occurred that's still a crime. Endangering a child is a crime and that's foul play. MOO.

Three days the father was around this baby and now he's gone. I want to scream!

I want to scream too, @MsMarple. I can't understand who in their right mind thought it was okay that this career criminal have access to this baby. Was CPS not supervising visitation? Did the father just show up and abduct him out of the blue?

Is this another CPS failure, or did the family allow him access thinking it was okay? If he left with the baby at 8:30 a.m., why was it not reported until 1:30 p.m.? Someone needs to answer for this. It should never have been allowed to happen. jmo

Sooooo many questions. But first, where is baby Armaidre??!!! This is just awful.

  • #139
Where is the mother, who had custody of Armaidre and who reported him missing?
Could the mother been harmed by the baby’s father?
