Though I'm glad they checked on your daughter, sending the SWAT team out sounds like overkill times 100.
Adult children shake off parents' calls for various reasons every day all day. Sending a whole team of SWAT officers seems like a really poor use of resources. But the manner in which they did the welfare call sounds right on the money.
Maybe she has a former partner who stalks/is a domestic abuser, which might better explain your particular circumstance. But without knowing that, it sure sounds extreme.
Yes, without knowing the situation one might think that. Myself, knowing the situation I feel they did the right thing. An officer was also sent to my Grandchildren's school. Not overkill, they did what needed to be done.
