Who else saw Athena between 4:15 and 5:30? Anyone else?
Whose mother is the grandmother next door? Sorry is this has already been asked and answered!

I have mixed thoughts on the “argument” I agree that most people don’t argue with children. I set limits and my children sometimes protest those limits but I don’t think of that as an argument. I think it’s not unreasonable that someone else may view it that way in their own family though.

Even when upset with me, my children still seek and accept comfort from me. At times, they go to their rooms as these are their safe spaces and I allow them privacy there. It’s hard to imagine a child leaving the house.

Regarding the claim of the child running away before, who stated that? Stepmom?

From what I understood the mom and aunt only said Athena was afraid of the dark and cold and it would be very unlike her to run away. They never said anything about her running away before either.
The reason why it wasn't done sooner was because the family told the sheriff that Athena had done this before, so the sheriff's office felt that they would have found the child eventually in the night. Authorities told WFAA that the girl possibly left after an argument with her parents.

So weird.. I have never heard of 7 year olds and parents having arguments...
Why would you argue with a child? Who's the adult in this household?

WFAA is supposed to stream it. Right now there's a bit of an update running while we wait. I don't know if the same link will carry the Sheriff's update.

Fort Worth is where the dad was, yes?
4:17 PM - Athena got off school bus
4:30 PM - Athena, stepmom at home, dad not at home
5:30 PM - Athena missing from rural property, boots and no coat
5:30 PM - Stepmom phoned dad ???
6:40 PM - Stepmom called police, mentioned argument, runaway behaviour

If dad is at Fort Worth at 5:30, he should have been home at 4:30. Did he or didn't he see Athena before he left for his hunting trip?

What I've read so far is that dad was not at home and was not involved in the argument prior to the disappearance. Perhaps he was at work before heading out for the hunting trip?

“On Friday evening, police searching for Strand taped off a car on CR 4599 at TX 114 in Boyd, about seven miles from her home, and ordered people nearby to move away.”
