“Tanner, I just hope you didn’t do nothing weird to that little girl,” she said, after asking whether her son had sexually abused his victim, FOX 4 reported.

When Horner insisted he hadn’t, his mother responded, “I just know how you get.”

“Well, actually, with my medication, I barely even have a libido as it is,” Horner responded.

In a separate phone call with his grandmother, the killer again denied raping Athena and insisted he was “remorseful” for his crimes.

“How can I not be? I haven’t been on my medication for the last few weeks, and I’m feeling emotional,” he said.

He also cried as he complained about not being able to spend Christmas with his young son.

Why is Counsel so far away from the microphone?

I hope audio in the courtroom isn't strained.

Utterly revolting.

That he associates his libido with this prolonged crime. With this defenseless child.

And he will be afforded every protection in prison. He will never see gen pop.

Ask me how angry I am.

Monster didn't rape her because he couldn't. And because he couldn't, he did everything else. Battered nearly every inch of her innocent body.

It's terrifying to know people like him walk among us.
I totally agree here. That was his intention, which he was unable to do and here we are.

I think that is a replay from earlier. Court I think has ended for the day. My livestream did as it did yesterday, it reset to the beginning once it ended for the day.

Separated for 60 years.
No contact. No answers.
Until a cold case changed everything.

In 1971, a young woman was found barely alive in a quiet Maryland field with no ID, and no witnesses. Succumbing to her injuries, her case went cold.

For 54 years, her identity remained unknown, until advances in forensic DNA and a determined investigation finally uncovered the truth, revealing a family torn apart for decades and reunited two siblings who had not seen each other in 60 years.

In Episode 2 of Trace Identity, a new series from Othram Studios, we explore how DNA can transform uncertainty into identity and change lives in ways no one expects.

Thank you. I just noticed that.

They are done for the day.

On replay, the Defense was arguing relevance over a video from TH's vehicle dash cam, showing a delivery he made, at a home with two little girls. Where both parents happened to be present.

Judge said that it is all kinds of relevant.

Excuse me?! What is it exactly, that mom knows, about how her murderer son "gets"? Is she actually saying she knew he was a violent pervert or "weird" as she puts it??

What a thing to say.

Yes. TH at a home with two very young girls.

He asked them if an adult was home -- he says because he didn't want to spoil any Christmas surprises by giving packages to children (who might see what's in them).

He didn't alert any suspicion with the mom and dad at the time. But it's more than a little creepy.

I think the parents thought he was helpful, considerate.

But we know what we're all thinking now.

Thank you. I’ll go rewatch.
I’m still shocked TH pled guilty knowing all of this would come out. Thank goodness for that I guess. He’s a horrible horrible being.

That's the beginning of the weirdness. Implies some sort of knowing acceptance or resignation to his deviant proclivities. Makes me wonder how much of his prior behavior never made it to the reporting stage, and was covered up/enabled by family.

What really gets me is him responding about his libido. In all my decades of living, I have never spoken of my libido with my parents, much less as a response to an inquisitive accusation. There is all kinds of dysfunction in his past, and right now I'm Schroedinger's curious -- I want to hear about AND I don't want to hear about it.

He only apologized to Athena's family to help them win their lawsuit against Fed Ex & Co. Because he wanted his employer to pay -- for causing him to do what he did.

He only does what benefits him.

Why would they separate the medical examiner testifying by a day from the dna swab testing results? I feel that honestly a lot of this trial seems disjointed. I’ve seen numerous comments from people on other sites stating that there was definitely no SA based on the ME testimony. Now today we hear the swabs were positive for male dna. Was it set up this way for shock value? I’m so confused-swab results should have been given with/directly after ME testimony. What are other opinions on this? It makes me sick I’m sorry to this poor little girl. She suffered enormously.

Yesterday the ME testified and said there wasn't any physical trauma to the girl's private areas.
But I think what's important is there doesn't have to be physical trauma for there to also be biological evidence of SA.
That poor little girl. 😢
