Dr. Edens has been paid $6K to $7K for this case so far. $450 per hour.
ETA: That's about 15 1/2 hours.
IMO.
Defense money comes from taxpayers as does the prosecution money. You get what you pay for I suppose. Would he be better for $600 per hour? Is he trying to convey to the jury the idea that TH will be safe from being murdered if he's given LWOP because the murder rate is so low? There's no way anyone can predict what the murder rate will be in years going forward. IMO he's much safer on DR. Less chance to get contraband and die from an overdose.

So - Dr. Edens & then his mother so far have testified? What's the mother's name, please! TIA! :)

Any nary a word about whether the statistics show whether a violent sexual offending pedophile would reoffend.

I don't think $450 per hour covers lying....only statistical confusion. Even the good professor knows TH will reoffend if he ever gets out so don't ever let him out. One way or another TH will die in prison, he just won't know when unless he takes it upon himself.

I've tried to find her name, but have been unsuccessful so far.

The defense is just doing their job and their job is to give the jury a reason why their client doesn’t deserve to die. They can’t just say “yeah he’s a monster and you should probably sentence him to death, no point of us wasting time bringing in witnesses or experts”.

Really? We are protecting mom Horner's identity on the stand? For what flippin reason? She is comfortable defending the indefensible she should be comfortable doing it publicly.

She asks if the courtroom can refrain from the attorney or herself using the names of the relatives she is discussing. GTFOOH

Mother asked that names not be used when defense attorney was asking her questions

She isn't the defendant.

And if Judge agreed,
it means it is within the Law to ask for anonymity.

And honestly, who cares what happens to TH in prison? He got himself there and pled guilty to a horrendous crime.

don't care if she had a right to ask. The only witnesses in this case whose identities were blurred out on the stand were TH's previous victims. And that was appropriate. I disagree with the judge and wish he hadn't ceded to this woman's request for anonymity.

That statement - we fought in front of him - feels like self searching in your own guilt as a parent. What did I do to create this. I’m not watching just what was reposted here.

Wild that she can be hidden

respectfully, she did not commit the crime and she's not the one on trial here. i suppose preserving a bit of privacy will help with any harassment she would receive. i'm not aware of any other witnesses that requested to be anon though there could have been tbf. jmo
