ugh oh

I bet the robot saw stuff

confusing tho

CBS said he had another location -- that picture in DM does not look like where they are now so (just guessing) this is the second bomb making location

That is the parents home they are at there IIRC **but I could be wrong.

Some residents here have been telling me they wished Pflugerville PD had alerted them a bit earlier that a neighbor was an #AustinBombings suspect

Neighbors think Conditt lived in his mother's garage. Say he frequented a bar nearby and didn't seem that unusual #AustinBombings

I don't think, at this point, it's reasonable to assume he targeted black people. He just picked an area, drove down the street and checked the outside of houses for cameras. When he found a street with no cameras, he picked a house that had easy access, then placed the bomb on the porch.

Conditt was "introverted" and "a regular neighbor" a neighbor says. Another who would see him in a local bar says he "kept to himself, but would talk with people" #AustinBombing

UPDATE: @Austin_Police say Conditt family cooperating, don't have any information to believe the family had any involvement of this. They are truly upset and having a difficult time. @KVUE #AustinBombings #AustinExplosions

Most of it's pretty nice. A lot more rural land than here in Pville or Round Rock.

I wonder how much his adult personality differs from his adolescent personality? I've started to become very aware of a shift in people as they move from adolescence into young adulthood. If there was a tendency toward some instability or dysfunction, it often shows up in early-adulthood. Also, even if his parents are stable and wonderful, mental or emotional dysfunction can skip a generation. When families are around long enough, people will often say, "You are just like your..." Fill in the blank, uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandfather's brother/sister... I'm wondering if a map of the family tree would show generational patterning relevant to this very public and very tragic event. But to do that it would require the family to participate, and it would have to be for a university study or other accepted venue. Now that families are much more transient, this kind of information internal to the family is not so often available.

BBM

I'd bet it would. Personal experience.

Life is tough. It always has been. The problems shift over time but every generation has their own tough issues to deal with.

I understand that.

I think you all are confusing what I am saying, or WHY I'm saying it.

People are saying he may have been having a rough life, no money, couldn't get anywhere in life.

A lot of people are not familiar with the costs of living in Austin.

All I'm saying, is that yes, he could be feeling that way - hopeless, helpless, worthless, etc. I was giving an example as to what life is like here in Austin with the cost of living and such, and was agreeing that it's a real possibility.

I am not minimizing anyone else's experience. I am not excusing his behavior. I'm not trying to get people to feel sorry for him. I am simply discussing how those feelings could be a real possibility as to why he did what he did. A possible motive, if you will.

DETAILS on evacuation in downtown Pflugerville. #AustinBombings

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) - Residents have been evacuated from downtown Pflugerville west of Railroad Avenue and north of Pecan Street as heavily armored agents are surrounding the Austin bombing suspect's Second Street home.

Police are telling residents and media to stay away from the area.

Police have been gradually backing the media up this morning as concern grows about what may be contained in the suspect's home.

Armored trucks and an ATCEMS ambulance have arrived on the photo.

At least one of suspect Mark Conditt's roommates has been taken into custody for questioning
