"Skeletal remains found on December 20, 2021. Resident found skeletal remains in wooded area of neighborhood and alerted 911. Skull and other bones were recovered and are now at the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office."

"On December 20, 2021, an unidentified male was found deceased in a wooded area off of Alum Rock Drive in Austin, Texas. The victim was found skeletal, and no personal effects were found. He is described to be between 16-20 years old at the time of his death. It is likely that the victim is of White, or Hispanic descent, and is presumed to have had black hair and brown eyes. His height and weight are unknown."

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying skeletal remains discovered in a wooded area over a year ago in Southeast Austin.
The young man, estimated to be between 16 and 20 years old at the time of death, is believed to be White or Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. Despite extensive efforts by law enforcement, the decedent's identity remains unknown.

The remains were found December 20, 2021, near the 8200 block Alum Rock Drive, south of East William Cannon Drive.
In an attempt to raise funds for the remaining casework costs, a DNASolves crowdfund has been created, allowing anyone to contribute.
