The body has not yet been officially identified and has been sent to Lubbock for autopsy. It is being investigated by the Texas Rangers along with the Borden County Sheriffs office and the State Fire Marshall.

This from Channel 7 Midland back on December 17 suggests that they may have had an idea of who this person was:

According to Borden County Sheriffs Office the body was found near Lake J.B. Thomas and was later transported, to South Plains Hospital in Lubbock for an autopsy to confirm the identity of the victim.

Strange, though, that I'm not seeing anything other than the initial reporting. I'll keep looking around.

I'll play around with this database and see what might look possible regarding David.

If I see anything, I will post it to his thread.
