I wouldn't dispute that Mr. Jean had marijuana as it is conceivable to me. There is no difference if he drank a bottle of vodka or smoked a joint. He was in his home minding his own business. She came in his home uninvited. She began yelling commands at him in the dark--she never said she identified herself as an officer, btw---and shot into a dark apartment and, then, entered the darkened apartment rather than do the simple thing and turn the lights (which are right at the doorway). Funnily and sadly enough, he continues to be questioned and scrutinized by LE while the killer has privacy and LE support.

I thought it was stated that the laptop was not taken during the search because it was damaged.
The article posted here today stated they did take it.
Seems nobody can get their story straight. I’ve been trying to keep up since the story broke. But what in tarnation is going on around there?

I don't think she catches on real quick.

The only clue that helped her was when she turned on the light.

All the previous clues that screamed 'wrong apt', went over her head.

but the door was ajar. Uh huh
I believe these were her items that she dropped when she entered the apartment, not his

What’s the importance of the insulated lunch box? What was in there?

Nor do we know if the door was “ajar”
Or the results of Guyger drug test...
Or why she shot into the dark...(as a trained police officer who may also have been the apartments security..)
Right? It is more important we know they found weed in his apartment?! Why is this even leaking? Cui bono?

By all accounts, LE is handling this case as if Bo was the perpetrator. At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me if DPD planted the weed to make the actual victim look like your average drug dealer. I just can’t.

I just understood what you are saying.

Perhaps the laptop they took on the warrant was the officer’s?

JIm you’re cracking me up tonight.

The amount of weed we are talking about is not an amount anyone is concerned about a “bust” for hahahhaa

10 GRAMS! Sounds like a "lot" more than 1/3 of an ounce! Shucks, that is nothing.

the window blinds were open and we've not seen video from inside at night to gauge how well the surrounding city lights illuminated the room, assuming the smart electrical meter graph verifies she turned the lights on right after she shot him, the time of the shooting is well established

were the lights actually off and if so, was it really dark in that room with the blinds wide open?

Maybe it fell out of the killer's pocket while she was doing CPR (cough cough). She picked it up and put it on the counter and forgot to take it with her.

She couldn't even remember where she lived so it's not a stretch to think she forgot her pot.

Not to worry.

I think she'll be finding herself in an 8x10 condo, rent free, courtesy of the state of Texas, real real soon.

Meals will be provided at no additional charge.
i hope it doesn't take years for her to go to trial. If the grand jury ups the charge will they set additional bond?

If they want to paint him as a drug dealer, they better come up with more than 10 grams of pot. I think that would fall into the personal use/mere possession category, even in Texas. Definitely not legal but also not approaching dealer status, IMO.

Yeah, it's several joints. I have several joints at my house. I use them for insomnia. *shrug* this is not a big deal. I can't believe they are doing this!

I'm pretty sure the bond amount would go up. I'm sure she'll have a check in hand to bail out when they give her the amount so she doesn't have to step inside a nasty jail cell.

Just like last time.

that would be almost certain there would be a higher bail set for a second degree or higher charge. if she has lied to police resulting in the two conflicting accounts of him being at the door vs across the room, that alone is sufficient

if it really isn't dark in that room at night with the blinds open, sufficient

if she lied about turning the lights on, sufficient

if she lied about the automatic door being ajar, sufficient

and there are so many more details to trip her solidly

This must be the Chief of Police's idea of transparency that she was blabbing about.

Keeping us up to date as to any new information.

Brace yourself for the next bit of leaked information------>that upon thoroughly going through his apt, they found that the toilet had not been flushed. (OK--so I made that up)

“When she arrived at the door, Guyger inserted her unique door key embedded with an electronic chip into the keyhole, investigators wrote. The door was slightly ajar, so the force of inserting the key pushed it open.”

Was she using her “security” key? Is that what that “unique” wording is?

That's definitely personal stash not a dealing amount.

So she didn't notice the door was ajar when she was putting her key in but the simple action of putting the key in, pushed that heavy metal door open.

Wow---that must have been some key!

A weed grinder is not a crazy piece of paraphernalia. It's very common. Makes rolling joints easier so one can smoke a joint from bud not shake.

This is so stupid. She killed this man for no good reason. This victim slamming literally makes me nauseous.
