Oh, hell no. In fact, I'm hesitant to call 911 in the first place! I don't want to be shot for it. It's happened before. I don't want to be some cop's "mistake". No, thank you!

Also, I'm not anti-law enforcement. But I'm extremely troubled by the fact that when there are corrupt cops, the good ones don't speak up. It makes them appear complicit. One would think they wouldn't want to be represented as such. That's where some of my distrust comes from.

I have only had a few tickets in my life for speeding and never any other issues. Still, I am afraid of police. We should not have to be afraid of police as law abiding citizens.

I didn't know if it has been discussed but yes, very important info. imo

Interesting, another "twist", several sources have stated, "ten GRAMS", and other sources, report, "ten OUNCES".

That is a substantial difference. But, this story is different every time you see it. Probably tomorrow it will be "10 pounds".

Look at the numbers of people killed in their homes by police officers who were there to "help" them. Either for wellness checks or to take them to the hospital. It's frightening. I tell everyone I know to not call the cops if someone is in crisis. And of course, in this case no one did call the cops. No one asked for help. It sure doesn't sound like she was invited over. But here we are and another person is murdered in his own home.

I completely agree. And the worst is calling police for domestic violence. Manage it, or accept the consequences. One woman here, called police on her son, to kick him out. He ended up getting killed in front of her. She wanted him out of the house, not dead!

I've been here on and off all day and I haven't seen it posted. As a matter of fact, I posted a link earlier today that said the Grand Jury would probably hear the case at the end of this year. My response was; "At the end of the year??????"

I remember that. So I was surprised to see it say as early as Monday. Very surprised.

Looks like it's me & you Jim! It is absolutely awful that a very nice young man tragically lost his life so unexpectedly. However, I do not believe for one minute that AG intentionally meant to kill him. I've read almost every single comment on here & the vast majority on here want a murder charge, in my opinion I don't see one coming. I think what has stuck out to me the most reading these comments is how there seems to be such disdain for cops in general, which is frightening to me. There is a distinct lack of trust between police and many of the communities they serve. Where does it come from? Are there corrupt cops? Of course there are. Are there good cops? Of course. Do innocent cops get killed? Of course they do. I would much rather wait for the trial to happen, with everything laid out on the table. I will then decide for myself if AG is a murderer or not.
Jennie … I agree totally with you. I always thank a police officer when I see him or her for the job they do keeping us all safe. I wonder how many times the critics here have called on LE in their lives. It seems a bit hypocritical. More than anything, I'd like to know what transpired in those 5-10 seconds (?) after the door opened.

Do we know the layout of the apartment? Was the entrance into the kitchen or the living area? TIA

Do I believe everything Officer Guyger has said? How would I or any of us know? We only know her words as restated by a sworn Dallas Police investigator; which I accept as fact. Are there recordings of the interview and subsequent ones? LE isn’t going to provide those details at this time. Nor should they. They call it the Justice System for a reason. It’s a process. I agree corruption is a nasty cancer which has eaten away at our very way of living, existing within our communities and the political arena. It’s the way the world seems to work. I’m also waiting until a complete Findings of Fact are introduced into trial before I make conclusions. Of course, I have opinions as we all do. Until this case goes to trial or the charge is upgraded or amended; this discussion is important and provides effective polite informal discourse. I’ve read all the input and am still pondering...
Aside note: I live in a city where we love our police officers, fire departments and EMS. I trust them with my life. I have many times. They’ve always rang as true heroes in my family’s and city’s eyes. I guess you just had to be there.
Thank you for your post.

There was a short entryway, then to the right was the kitchen and to the left a door, that appeared to be the bedroom door. If you continued straight from the entryway, it took you into the living room. JMO

I doubt 5 seconds passed from the time she saw him until she shot him dead

I’m super curious about the gun powder residue on the door frame proving she was outside when she shot? Would a ricocheted bullet leave GSR? Like if bullet 2 bounced off the computer and hit he kitchen wall?

Where does it come from? From incidents like cops busting into someone's apartment and murdering them. Do that enough times and yes, there will be a lack of trust.

Unless I'd called 911 I would never open my door to a member of law enforcement.

You were shot before? For calling the cops? Jaysis! I myself will only call 911 as a last resort simply bc I just don't want a squad car outfront of my house. It's not because I'm afraid of being shot. I have had a few encounters with Philly police & 1 encounter with Highway patrol. I have to admit I was very intimidated by Highway patrol. Idk if it was bc of their attire or bc I got pulled over for speeding or maybe it was bc there were 2 of them or maybe a combo of it all, but I wasn't fearful, just nervous. I was always taught to respect authority. If a police officer tells me to put up my hands & I know I'm not in the wrong, well we will deal with that later, but I'm putting my hands up.

The interior floor plan and exterior surroundings of each apartment are "identical" or "extremely similar" to each other, Armstrong wrote. Jean was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injury.

Dallas officer who killed neighbor in his apartment said he ignored her verbal commands

Here in San Francisco that amount is between $60 and $100 depending on the strain and quality. I just checked on the app I buy it on.

I would say I would move there but the housing market would put me on the streets!
Thanks for the info!
