So IF the article above is true and officials had established that Brandon had recently spent time with acquaintances and friends. Where was he? Story doesn't add up. What time did Brandon leave his house that night?

Has LL ever said what time he left?

  • #102
I think LE made an assumption about his location. He said "towards Abilene" and I think LE thought that would mean that Abilene would have been the next town and thus north of Bronte. If he had said "towards Bronte" they would have been more inclined to think "south."

The timeline still bothers me. If I'm understanding the pings correctly it appears that he traveled 3 miles in 29 minutes. Not likely under the best conditions if on foot.

There are several possibilities and it's hard to rule out any of them. I still am not sure Brandon actually had possession of his phone for long after the 911 call. I wonder, if someone had taken his phone, that they were 3 miles away before they thought about turning it off. They needed his phone because, perhaps, it would prove or disprove the sending and receiving of text messages with others which I also am not sure about.

I wonder what K sounds like.

Was Texas Equusearch ever contacted by the family ? LL has stated they were told that they were too busy to search.

Or does LE contact them requesting a search be done?

I wonder what K sounds like.

You read my mind. Maybe they were together the whole time. In the 911 call he says 'we'. They could have been getting high, selling drugs, or robbing someone, that leads to a chase, eventually they run out of gas and make a run for it, maybe the car chasing was on both sides of the road with no regard for oncoming traffic.

And then they call Audrey for help and she arrives only to find Kyle and no Brandon?

Did the deputy actually see the two of them drive up and open their car doors?

And no mention to why K and A moved.

And where is the crushed cell phone their aunt found on the side of the road? This case is driving me nutso!!!

Great points! :)

I keep going over the 911 call and if they sound very similar, how can anyone know who it actually was on that cell phone?

The whole move thing seems odd, if he was working in the oilfields too, why give up a good paying job?

I thought, if I am remembering rightly, that she was told to turn it over to LE. No idea if she did.

It's driving me nuts too. No straight answers, when LL is asked anything on FB its either ignored or people get jumped for being too mean and hateful.

Has anyone else read the comment by LL dad regarding how he wishes she (LL) would move on and quit dwelling on BL's decision? He tells her that she could not deserve his decision and she should just move on. (I'm not sure what he means by deserve)

Such an odd statement just six months after BL went missing.

Another thing that caught my attention was regarding the state trooper who was busted for drugs, a Texas Ranger was involved in the investigation and had gone off of tips which lead up to the search warrant. We're the tips from K and A? Was this the corrupt state trooper that BL was referring to in the 911 call? When someone talks about the 911 tape and they hear "silence that" is that police terminology? Maybe LL didn't go to the police to report BL missing because she knew from K and A that a state trooper was involved and didn't trust the police, but resorted to that when she couldn't find BL. Is this the reason the Texas Ranger checked to see if any state troopers were in the area at the time? Is it possible BL was placed in hiding and turned state witness and LL wasn't told. BL's family refer to him in present tense, but LL refers to him in past tense. Could this explain why her dad makes the comment that he does, because he feels BL put himself in a situation that caused his disappearance? Just a thought and MOO.

Well your comment makes it sound like LL contacted them no?

Texas Equusearch (along with most reputable SAR groups) will only search with LE's permission usually. Either/or can contact them but they aren't doing it without the ok of LE usually.

Found the time of when BL left the house. BP posted it on the HFBL fb, she states he left his and LL's house at 11:54. Supposedly he called his dad and then left the house. At 12:10 am K went to check on LL, then he left.

She said she did, but in my opinion I wonder if she really did.

I don't know much about Texas Equusearch.

Oh wow I never saw that. Hmmm that does make ya wonder. And that is a good theory. I could see that a possibility.

Oh wow that is interesting. This you found on fb? I'm wondering if it's possible that B's family is in on it (whatever IT is?) and perhaps LL is on the outside?

I do wonder why the Ranger checked to see if there were any State Troopers in the area. Such an odd comment to make if you ask me UNLESS he felt that maybe B was saying State Trooper? As soon as the 911 tape was released LL was pretty insistent that he did NOT say State Trooper. So why did the Ranger check into this.

What friends and acquaintances was B with recently? There would be no reason to state "recently" in that article unless it pertained to that night or even AFTER that night.

LL has given the time that B left the house as 11:53/11:54. She is the only person that knows and quite frankly I don't trust what she says too much. Stories have changed too many times.

B had recently (last few months) found out that he had a warrant. He could have been working with a lawyer to find out a way to get out of or lessen the charges. According to LL he was working on it in some capacity. I forget her wording but it was kind of odd.

Officials seek info on missing man

The Coke County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers are seeking information on the disappearance of Brandon Mason Lawson on Aug. 8.

Law enforcement officials found Lawson’s vehicle abandoned with an empty gas tank on U.S. 277 south of Bronte, according to a San Angelo Police Department news release on Friday.

Lawson, 26, has brown hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos, is about 5-foot-9 and weighs about 230 pounds, the release states. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, camouflage shorts and white tennis shoes.

Officials established that Lawson had recently spent time with friends and acquaintances, the release states.

The last sentence could be VERY telling.

Article dated 9/28. At first I thought they meant the night he went missing. I think they are saying recent to 9/28 he had spent time with friends and acquaintances.

In drug cases LE always wants the big guy and they often work with the little guy to get the big guy. A deal is not a far stretch. I don't know how the 911 call could play into that or perhaps B got away and worked out a deal later.

This would not surprise me, people make deals to lessen jail time etc all the time. Sadly there have been some that turned out to be killing people while working for LE. I can't remember the guy's name off the top of my head, but he was married to a woman and her daughter vanished and was last seen with him. I believe he also killed a cellmates girlfriend. He is thought to even have been connected to the Mesa bodies. Any way, I digress.

I take everything LL says with a very small grain of salt. K & A , no salt, they lied outright about very important information.

If this did happen, he can never reveal himself. I am sure there are big dogs who would be looking for him. That would put LL and the kids at too much risk.

LL said he was going to turn himself in. I'm assuming he was waiting for the 401k check to come first so that she could have some money to fall back on depending on how long he was incarcerated or if he needed to post bail.

I think the dad saying she didn't deserve his decision to leave his truck that night and hide, just to avoid inevitable jail time.

But now, she can't cash it. I would assume it would possibly go to his parents? Not sure how that would work since they are common law. Maybe BL didn't know she wouldn't be able to cash it.
