Lisa Farrell, the mother of Campos and grandmother of little Brooklyn Fancher, remembers getting a frantic call from a friend back in 2024.

"I think they should spend the entirety of what her lifespan would be in prison," said Farrell. "Due to the fact that (Brooklyn) will never graduate, never get married, never have her own kid. They took that away from her and that's unfair."

Investigators say the parents often put a little Brooklyn in a drawer so they can have sex in the motel room. A magistrate judge referred to that specific finding in his initial court hearing, where he set a bond of $300,000 for Campos.

"I don't have anything to say to her because when I seen her, she didn't cry. She didn't show remorse losing her child. And that bothers me."

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The parents of four-month-old Brooklyn Fancher have been charged with her death, a year after she was found in a motel room in Houston's west side.

In May 2024, little Brooklyn was found unresponsive inside a dresser drawer and pronounced dead at a Days Inn off Rancho Mission Drive. The medical examiner concluded that Brooklyn died by suffocation.

With her own daughter charged, grandmother Farrell says she only wants justice for Brooklyn, and wants Campos to remain in jail.

Family members say and court records confirm that Campos is currently expecting another child with a different man.

Meanwhile, Campos and Fancher have an older child who is still alive. That three-year-old is currently living with his great-grandmother.

Campos was taken into custody & booked into the Harris County Jail on Saturday night. So a year later, both mom and dad have moved on to other relationships, no broken hearts for the loss of their bay girl.
I was confused if the housekeeper called police the day Brooklyn died, but it looks like she had taken pictures and urged management to call CPS on prior occasions.

Destiny is 21. I wonder what kind of life she had growing up. Her mom dated Jeremy for 7 years before he began a relationship with Destiny in 2019, she would have been 14 or 15. No doubt he groomed her and likely exposed her to drugs, MOO.

Hoping for justice for sweet baby Brooklyn and a happy and safe life for her sibling.

San Angelo Police Department officers arrested Fancher on June 21. He was booked into the Tom Green County Jail, where, as of June 24, he was being held on $850,000 bond, sheriff's office records show. That jail is northwest part of the state, about an eight-hour drive from where the child was found dead.

Harris County Sheriff's Office Deputy Thomas Gilliland said Fancher was still in jail on June 24, awaiting transfer back to Harris County to face the charge.

*Arraignment Hearing (@ 9am CT) – TX - Brooklyn Fancher (4 mos.) was found unresponsive on May 26, 2024, inside a dresser drawer at a Houston-area Day’s Inn motel. She was pronounced dead at the scene. According to investigators, the infant had been sleeping inside a dresser drawer, which served as her makeshift crib & died of suffocation. *Destiny Campos (21) arrested & charged (6/21/25) with 1st degree murder. Bond @ $300K. Bond reduced (6/25/25) to $250K. Harris County
