So according to the sheriff in an interview today (article linked above), Camila recently went through a breakup.

Why were articles written as recently as yesterday quoting her “boyfriend”? Where did they get the “boyfriend” label? The “boyfriend” himself, family members that were in the dark about a breakup?

12/27/25:

“Every morning, we have been meeting at the Wild Horse HOA Sports Park,” boyfriend Nate Gonzales said. “From there, we get our groups around 20 with one leader who has experience with search and rescue.”

12/25/25:

After checking with her boyfriend and Camila's father and learning neither had seen her, Rosario contacted the sheriff’s office to report her missing.

"... I thought I would find her like other times, walking, and we would come home together.”

has this been discussed? this comment by her Mom?

what other times is she referring to? is it common for Camila to disappear for awhile?

On Saturday, the Youth Peace and Justice Foundation (YPJF) also known as The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, announced they have also joined the search for Camila.

Search and Support San Antonio is also searching - the FBI is now involved in the investigation.

Thankful the family is receiving help, but wish Tim Miller and his team would get involved.

Mental health was my first concern. She left her phone behind and grabbed something from her car. Holidays can be really difficult for people sometimes, and she had just gone through a break up. Hopefully she just needed to step away for a few days, but the history of suicidal ideation with all the other facts is deeply troubling.

I don't buy that she was going for a walk in the dark, at 7am, without her phone. Especially given that she was so pro-safety and encouraged her friends to be sure they had a charged phone with them at all times. Now I've seen what some young people wear out of the house, so PJ pants/shorts is not unheard of, but would she normally go for a walk in them? I can understand taking her licence IF she was going for a walk, to prove who she is or that she is not illegal and undocumented, if that's an issue for Hispanic people near the border.

I think it's interesting that she may have her licence with her. This either means it's missing from her purse/home, it currently can't be found, or is it possible she never had one to begin with? Perhaps her trip to the car in the dark was to find her licence, as it wasn't in her purse/bag and she was either worried she'd lost it, or needed it for something she was doing? But why so early? Could she have been buying concert tickets for an 18+ gig, or something where she'd have to prove her age? Does she have a laptop, tablet or desktop computer to access the internet too?

Again, I have many questions and there doesn't seem to be a lot of new info coming out from LE or the media. The biggest question I have is what happened to the ring camera footage, and why did it not tell a story beyond her reaching the car? Another big one is the apparent reflection of what looks like a male in one of the cars nearby.

I assume nobody heard or saw her out that morning? Nobody heading to work, walking a dog?

A neighborhood security camera showed a person standing outside of Camila’s car on Wednesday morning. BCSO confirmed the person in the video obtained by KSAT is Camila Mendoza Olmos.

For those who thought the image on the recording might not be Camila at the car. LE evidently has a better copy of the recording and verified it's her.

It's been stated in a few news articles that the ring camera was triggered by the movement of Camila at the driveway, but quit recording after that movement was captured. IMO, this is because the camera record settings were turned down by the homeowner. I have a few set this way also, otherwise they are continually triggered and it runs my batteries out too quickly.

Especially given that she was so pro-safety...
I'm pro-safety to the point of nearly being a shut-in - I can't go anywhere without taking extra precautions. However, when depression hits, especially manic depression, I can decide in a split second that I need to get out of the house, leaving behind my wallet, phone, or even shoes. I've been lucky to make it home each time. It isn't talked about enough, unfortunately, and can literally happen to anyone with mental illness. <3

Ok so she had on white shoes and we really can’t tell if that’s her or not on the ring cam footage but her car lights were on. That’s not something you would do if you were just going to your car for something real quick… she would have had her keys in the ignition for the lights to be on. I find that strange even if she was “going for a walk”
No, not necessarily true that keys need to be in ignition for lights to go on.

In my car, if I unlock it to open door, the headlights automatically go on.

If this was supposed to clarify things, for me it looks even less like her in a pyjama (and more like a man in long pants). I don't doubt it's her (as LE has confirmed), just surprised at how deceiving the images can look.
I'm impressed at how much clearer the image is though!

IMO if authorities have confirmed this is her and she disappears right after this view, the “last seen wearing” needs to be updated from baby blue pajama shorts and white shoes because there is no way that matches this picture

Moms & daughters typically have a very close bond. To hang out together; sleeping together is not out of the norm. My mom and I would have pizza on her bed and watch a good movie on a Friday night when I was well beyond my teens... Continuous prayers for this family that their daughter is brought home safely.
I was going to say…I am currently in bed with my 19 year old daughter. When my hubby is working and she is home from college we sometimes share a bed. She has her own room but we are close like that. It could be something similar for them.

I'm shocked she's still missing after this long. If she was leaving to self harm, wouldn't she leave in her car? If there was anyone in the area on foot or in a vehicle it seems like they'd be seen on a camera.

It looks like a large suburban neighborhood, which are usually filled with Ring cams and the like. If she or anyone else was caught on surveillance the sheriff's office should have put that information out to the public by now, especially since there are search parties out looking.

Poor girl. I hope she is found soon.

"[Bexar County Sheriff Javier] Salazar said Mendoza Olmos recently went through a romantic breakup, but authorities said the breakup was mutual and don't suspect anything "nefarious" was involved, saying everyone close to her is cooperating."

Was wondering why we haven’t heard much about the “boyfriend.” Usually when someone is missing that’s the first place they look. For the most part LE seems pretty tight lipped. I’ve got a bad feeling… praying I’m wrong.

In this video, the Sheriff did release information that she has struggled in the past. It sounds like she's a person who feels things deeply.

I hope she was just feeling overwhelmed and went somewhere to have time to herself, but most people aren't going to be able to take in a friend on Christmas weekend.

I think they need to prioritize searching the nature areas nearby, but it sounds like they are.

Can someone good with maps post the Google maps showing where she was last seen? Sorry if I missed it.
