This! I also see a more typical male stance with the legs nearly a shoulder's width apart. And the person looks taller than five ft four. MOO
to the people saying it looks like a male stance... i see what you mean, but i can't imagine that's a hard rule. and in any case, i feel like people aren't always in their natural stance when they're unlocking a car door. especially if they're focused or just getting something.

as to the height... i think that's a nissan altima. let me know if i'm wrong? internet says altimas are 4'10". going by the picture, that person looks about 6 inches taller than the car, do they not? hard to be sure exactly, but at least in the ballpark, IMO.

It seems that there were two homicides in San Antonio in 2024. One man who was a walker and one woman.

So maybe it is a walker predator? Walkers are organized and predictable.

the only issue i do see for sure with the information we've been given is she was reportedly last seen wearing white shoes, and whatever color shoes that person in the picture is wearing, it ain't white

Texas law enforcement officials on Monday continued scouring for a 19-year-old who was reported missing after she did not return from her typical morning walk on Christmas Eve.

Camila Mendoza Olmos was last seen leaving her house in northwest Bexar County at roughly 6:58 a.m. on Dec. 24, according to the sheriff's office.

Security camera video shows a person believed to be Olmos looking inside her car for an unidentified item, the sheriff's office said on social media. The video ends moments later...

I would say that the shape of the legs in the initial (uncleared) photograph is specific, but I couldn’t find Camila’s photo showing the legs. And to me, it seemed that the person wore shorts, too. But the effect totally disappeared on “cleared” photo. Hard to tell. Could be a woman or a shorter male.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar is expected to provide information about ongoing search efforts at 3 p.m. Monday.

KSAT will livestream this press conference in this article. If a stream is not immediately available, check back for updates.

I’m not in the same time zone. Is it almost 3:00 there now?

Would be helpful to see the full video. Perhaps LE will release it along with a reward offer for information leading to her location. MOO
There may be a time lapse video out there if you search.... but I don't think it will provide much more clarity than the image.

Who would be driving around the suburbs on Christmas day at that time of the morning? I'm thinking she may have had a stalker who knew from her habit of walking her dog around 7:00 every morning that she would be there. She forgot to charge her phone, couldn't find her charger the next morning and assumed it had to be in her car. That was what she was looking for; her mom stated she wouldn't leave without her fully charged phone, which was found run down on her bed. MOO.

Yes right now.. Don't think it started yet. Watching for it.

Also, i might have missed it but didn't seem like a long heads up for this presser. MOO

From the Sheriff re. Camilla's mental health:

"....that in the past Camilla has expressed some suicidal ideations and so, again, we're hoping that that's not what's occurring here. So what we're hopeful of was that if she does see this that really nothing has occurred that can't be fixed. She's got people here that love her very very much."

to be clear, i'm not sure that is camila in the picture. i just don't see a strong case that it isn't. right now, i see it as unknown... possibly camila.

besides the height and stance, people are also mentioning the color of the clothes. i'm not sure the clothes looking darker than the reported "baby blue" couldn't be an effect of the darkness and/or the camera. also, someone said the mom doesn't speak english, so there might also be translation errors as far as what she was wearing and when.

It was the day before Christmas early in the morning. Christmas eve, not Christmas day, IIRC.

For those not able to watch.. The microphones are being set up at presser. It is taking place outside in front of a police tactical truck.

There are many people in the background. Only two to three mics so far.

They were killed in city park trails. She didn't walk on the trailheads. She didn't even live in San Antonio and would need to drive to get to a trail.

City trails "close" at sunset and open once the sun comes up.
The culprit who killed the woman was caught.

Camila walked in her neighborhood if it was dark. Not on trails.

Camila would be super foolish to walk on the trails while it is dark.
The only ones who do that are usually up to no good.

Walking in a neighborhood when it is dark is perfectly acceptable.

Note: Our trail system in San Antonio is unique. Too long to explain. We all seem to "know the rules". Mainly because it was a such a "long time coming" because our green spaces are few and far between. Parks are rare here. I fought to get those trails, because we had nothing!! They're built in flood plains too. So that's another reason not to "turn kids lose in them". They are a unique space.

Just to clarify, it was the day before Christmas that she went missing. Wednesday, Dec 24, not Christmas Day. (Oops, Sundog posted the same. See? I’m slowpoke. 🤣)

Presser update: per reporter, sheriff should be providing update shortly. 'things going a little slow.'

No one at podium now.

Camera is on a large sheriff tactical unit truck. Several people (civilians?) are talking close to the truck.

Folks are exiting sheriff vehicle now.

Here we go (presser).

Sheriff: At new mobile command post. Stepping up operations.

Topic: importance of video up to this point. Yesterday a second video from neighborhood. Possibly on dashcam. Not 100% but clothing on pedestrian matches. Will be sharing this nee video.

New video is helping establish her "direction of flight". Looks like she took left - a motorist captured on dashcam. Asking community for video.

FBI and Homeland Security involved.

Prevailing theory is she walked away on her own. But they are still exploring all options.

Right now still searching close to home area. Close to new video (2ish blocks from home). Drones, mounted patrol, cadet class searching.

Clear alert issued due to history of depression and suicidal ideation.
