It's hard to tell but is she walking in the road, in the bike lane?
yes. and, assuming that's her, it makes me think more about the hit & run possibility. just one among many though.

i'll add that i think i'm seeing bare legs there, whereas the person seen at the car had pants/sweats on. if she took off sweats and was walking around in shorts, then where are the sweats?

It does appear she is walking in the bike lane in that dash cam footage. Obviously I can't speak for her, but I know some runners and/or walkers who prefer walking/running on asphalt instead of concrete (a sidewalk) because it can be a bit softer on the knees. For me personally, sometimes I will choose to walk near the curb of the road (but in my subdivision which is not very traveled at all and always during daylight) because it has less bumps and uneven pavement than the sidewalk does so is safer in terms of tripping/twisting an ankle or the like. Definitely recommended to wear reflective clothing if walking in the dark though.

I wonder if Mom knows how she normally dresses to go on walks. Would it be normal for her to just wear shorts? Is it possible IF the person by the car was also her that she went out there to grab whatever and determined that it was warm enough to just walk in shorts so she ditched her pants in her car to get later? If that happened, they should be able to find the pants though (this is going off the assumption that the person by the car was wearing pants and that it's actually her).

Or the blurry pic was enhanced with AI and turned the blurry legs into pants?

I don't think it was hit and run. Dogs would have hit the scent.

I have no idea why she's walking in a bike lane when it's dark. (However, depression can cause people to do these things)

Those are nice sidewalks. I like to walk in the street because of issues with sidewalks, but Wildhorse Pkwy is busy and the sidewalks are nice.

It isn't. It's Daily Mail sensationalism. I live down the road and walk in this area all the time. It's no different than suburbia than anywhere else in the US.

The Daily Mail is not familiar with suburban Bexar County. They are probably referring to signs they see in the airport restrooms. This area is not known for human trafficking anymore than any other suburban area in the US.
Two girls, who love an early morning walk, they live within a mile of each other in the small WildHorse Subdivision go missing.
One, mariadelis labrador siles, was reported March 10th as being missing, and two days later she was found dead. The Sheriff’s reported there was a shovel and a machete near her deceased body, and the body had fatal trauma to it. But strangely, the coroners office ruled it a suicide by a knife to the chest.

2. It’s 9 months later, and only a mile from where the first victim went missing, another early morning walker goes missing.
My wife and I drove to the area where they found Ms. Silas body, and the Sheriffs were all over the place canvassing the area.
Honestly, I was shocked! If the Sheriffs

fair

tempted to agree, but for a different reason. i don't give much weight to what dogs do or don't smell. but i do give weight to the fact that hit and run perps don't usually do anything to the body, especially on a major road.

i still say it's a possibility, though it's more likely something else. least bad possiblities are ran off w secret bf and abducted and trafficked.

It doesn't mean it's human trafficking. No evidence of sex assault in the first case. No evidence she was taken anywhere.

Human trafficking usually means forcing people to do sexual favors or forcing people into servitude against their will or moving them across state lines or international borders. I don't see this going on here. The reason it's probably a "human traffic corridor" is because it's close to the border and there is human smuggling going on. Remember June 2022 with that semi-truck full of people?

maybe the boyfriend (ex) when watching a news report and they interviewed him he seemed nervous, constantly checking his phone and touching his person. .. not sure what he said I was to busy watching his body actions.

From what I understood, they had a normal “life” breakup…almost inevitable when two people start colleges. He came to help with the search. But now, with the stress on Camila being mentioned, obviously, he feels nervous.

The ex boyfriend was interviewed in this video from News4 San Antonio around 14:25. He seems worried and cooperative to me JMO.

Maybe she was depressed over a breakup or aome other event in her life? In the ring video, if thats actually her, she was dressed in all black which sometimes is a sign of depression. Jmo

I walk a lot. If the bike lane has more light due to available street lighting, that's where I would choose to walk rather than the darker sidewalk, possibly overshadowed by trees. Each to their own... Sounds like her friends thought she was a 'safe' exercise enthusiast. IMOO

Wonder if LED has founf info on her ohone indicating suicidal like the girl atound the same age in austin recently.

From presser: LE would like volunteer groups to coordinate with LE. Haven't been made aware of meaningful info from any ground searches. Do not touch something if found. Call police.

Only Sheriff's office involved in ground search.

Can't confirm for certain that the person on door cam is her but they are going under that premise.

Presser over.
So important that these groups coordinate with LE. Wish more understood how important this is.

unfortunately, I feel this case is only going to end in one way.

I don’t think Law Enforcement would talk so openly about her mental health struggles and previous suicidal thoughts if they didn’t think with certainty that’s the cause of her disappearance this time.

  • #334
Right, I know that... I was just throwing that out for discussion sake.
I appreciate your insight. It gave me information I hadn't considered.

On another note, I'm not caught up with the thread but has it been confirmed family members were home between the time Mom heard her wake up and 90 minutes later when mom woke up?

Her attendance was at a local junior college. If she had a morning routine walk, someone could have known her routine. I hope local home surveillance is also being reviewed for suspicious activity during the the am walks prior to her Christmas eve morning disappearance.

I'm just getting caught up on the case and watching a video. It was said, but will go back and see if I can find the source of their info.

Edit: Found it - Haunting final image of 19-year-old who vanished on Christmas Eve

Authorities say the only items Mendoza Olmos is believed to have had with her were her car keys and possibly her driver's license. Her phone was reportedly turned off and left in her bedroom.

If she was just getting something from her car she wouldn't have brought the DL with her. It would be nice to know if her DL has been located at home.

When my iPhone dies and I can't find it with a cursory look, I use find my iPhone on another device to see where it was when it turned off.

For whatever reason, I just don't think she was looking for her phone in the car. Whatever she was doing, the phone wasn't the goal or needed for the goal, IMO.

MOO.
Ummm. That's worrisome.

Mental health struggles and previous suicidal thoughts? Do you have a link with LE making this kind of statement?

It's from the press conference earlier today.

It’s from post #305 today a transcript of the press conference(from the wonderful @Allabouttrial ) it stated the reasons for the alert were due to ‘suicidal ideations in the past, some attempts to self harm in the past were a consideration’

Is there a clever person who knows the height of this particular car and can see how that matches with the person in black clothing against known height of Camilla?
