My gut reaction leans towards self harm, although I think she would drive away. My second consideration is an online fake romance, gone horribly wrong.

Is there any factual evidence that Camila Mendoza Olmos has been kidnapped? Aside from the fact that she is missing? None.
Agreed.
I'm doubting at this time that there was an abduction.
It would appear she may have left on her own volition.
An adult (18 or older) can legally do that.
Imo.

There is not any factual evidence she left on her own volition. A sticking point for me, is leaving her car. This suggests she was either planning to meet someone, or going for a short walk. I am sure the police have checked video footage of any public transit options nearby. She does not appear to have any luggage with her.

Do we know for sure that it is her car that she was seen with in the driveway? One of the MSM articles stated that this was the "family car." So if it was the family car which she drove frequently, perhaps she didn't take it with her because it also belonged to her mom, and maybe it was registered to her mother. All just speculation, given the MSM indicating that it was a family car.

weird to leave your mom on Christmas Eve and weird to meet some one at 7 a.m. ... no one has a "date" at 7 a.m. unless they are having a very odd affair, IMO

I wonder why LE has said Camilla is depressed, but her dad wasn’t aware.

Camila’s father said the past several days have been devastating.

“I’m feeling down, devastated,” he said. “The only thing keeping me going is my faith — God, men of faith, and all the support from the community, churches, and family. The prayers are what keep me strong.”

He described his daughter as a “daddy’s girl,” saying it was normal for her to tell him she loved him, even the day before she disappeared.

[…]
Sheriff’s officials have acknowledged Olmos has a reported history of suicidal thoughts, but her father says she had no history of depression or mental health struggles.

That is strange that Dad apparently knew nothing about her previous suicidal thoughts. Does his ex-wife not talk to him much about the kids?

Praying she is found soon.

I hate typing this, but I'm not optimistic that she's okay.

JMVHO.

Unless they work a night shift somewhere

This footage was taken after the sighting where she was standing near her car, if the sheriff is correct ?
According to the presser.
So did she just leave from the car (if that's her) and keep walking ?
Imo.
Yes, supposedly. But it is still confusing, to me anyway---because the video taken from behind, standing by her car, shows long dark pants, and I don't see white shoes.....

...but the dash cam video is supposedly white shoes and light blue shorts?

So maybe she took off some dark sweatpants before she left for her walk? OR maybe that was someone else standing by the car?

yeah same thoughts. either she went back in to change after going out to the car, or that's not her at the car, after all.

i'll give LE credit and assume they looked for dark pants and dark shoes inside the house, and found them, before they put out information that she was last seen in shorts and white shoes. in that case, it is her, and she did go back in and change.

That is not her at the car, it’s a man. His clothes don’t match the description her mother said she was wearing, dark hoodie, light blue pants and white shoes. Theirs dash cam video does show her in those clothes. Now look close theirs a black car behind hers and its tail lights are on.

Do a search on Maria Delis Labrador Siles. She went missing on March 10th and found murdered on March 12th. She lived within a mile of Camila Olmos, and was last seen in the same location where the dash cam was taken. They both enjoyed morning walks.
The medical examiner says it was suicide. Even if someone is murdered it doesn't make a location a human trafficking hotspot. There are areas with no murders that have high human trafficking rates. And who says that Wildhorse subdivision is a human trafficking hotspot??? The Daily Mail over in the UK??? Sure, they're experts on Braun Rd!!! I bet they have no idea where it is!!!

Here is the definition of Human Trafficking from the Department of Homeland Security.

Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality.

There's even a video you can watch on their website.

There are a few scenarios being discussed, it seems:

---Self Harm--she walked away and will sadly be found ?
---Voluntarily Missing---She walked away and is needing space, maybe with someone else for now?
---Abduction---Maybe an opportunity predator, or a stalker or an ex?

I can see possibilities with any of the above 3 scenarios. Hopefully it's number two.

But if I had to choose, I might be leaning towards a stalker type scenario:

She is beautiful and very petite, would attract unwanted attention.
She has a schedule that could make it easy to follow her.
She may have been frazzled or distracted somehow that morning---hence dead phone, looking in car for something, etc.

And of course the other woman who also walked in her neighbourhood, being found dead. It has been ruled a suicide but some question that decision?

There was a super grainy screenshot that was released. You couldn't tell WTF they were wearing or their sex.

Then there was this enhanced version that came out. The enhanced version looks like pants. I found it on Texas Equusearch's FB page. I shared it here. Then Texas Equusearch removed the enhanced version. So if the enhanced version was done via AI, it's easy to assume the blurry legs are pants. I thought maybe Texas Equusearch had a better quality original image without compression, but if the image is "enhanced", who knows how accurate it is????

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

The sheriff doesn't determine the cause of death, the medical examiner does.

If it turns out that this is not a self harm situation but a foul play situation then my thoughts are whoever did it knew her walking schedule. Prayers they find her.

Has anyone in LE or the family clarified the delay in Camila last being seen and LE asking for the public's assistance?

For example, if, say, my sister told me she was going her car to get something and didnt' come back - or was going for a morning walk and didn't come back - I would immediately know there was no other reason but some sort of foul play.

But with the delay here, it seems like ppl close to her thought there might be another reason she didn't immediately come back.

For some reason, I got the impression the mom dozed off and/or didn't think anything until she didn't return...This is MOO.....

It could take up to an hour for her to realize something was wrong.....This is MOO, please don't quote it as the truth....

You can be baptized at any time. It is not that unusual for adults to be baptized, IMO. Some people find religion later in life and decide to be baptized. My 48 year old cousin was baptized 2 months ago. I know several other people who were baptized as adults. Their parents were not religious or they just "never got around to it."
I get that those new to a faith may choose to be baptized as adults, but as religious as Camilla's mum appears to be, I imagine Camilla was baptized as an infant. Perhaps she just chose to reaffirm her faith as an adult?

I hate that just because someone has had any kind of mental health struggles, no matter how small, the thoughts of many go straight to suicide. Whilst that may be the case (I personally doubt it) there's so many other potential reasons she's missing, and I really do hope that LE are covering all avenues equally, which it sounds like they are.

I really don't see her taking her own life first thing in the morning, especially at Christmas time, or walking somewhere to do it, but if she shared the car with her mother then I can understand not taking the car. If she did plan to take her life, and she had her driver's licence on her, maybe that was a way to identify her?

I also don't see her choosing to walk away from her life at the crack of dawn, dressed in few clothes, and without cash (AFAIK) or her phone. Granted, not taking her phone is a good choice to not be tracked, but she'd need access to cash or have stashed some away to survive, unless someone promised to take care of her. Even so, that might not have played out how she expected and she could be in danger. You'd also think that she would dress more appropriately, with shorts under track pants maybe? Layers to keep her warm and to have options to change into.

We really seem to know so little about her, so it's hard to have an opinion. However, in the few photos released of her, she always looked well dressed, neat hair, make up etc. She seems to have left for her walk still in pyjama shorts, fresh from bed. Maybe she did that often, but it doesn't seem to me to be the attire you'd choose to either end your life or disappear from it. I think she fully intended to finish her walk, and any tasks she may have planned whilst on it, before heading home for the day and whatever religious or festive plans she may have had. I don't think she's voluntarily missing unfortunately.
