is the relative suggesting she was seeing a second guy around the same time? if so, i'd say take a closer look at both guys.

The NYP describes her as a “Mexican national”. Granted, NYP is not Encyclopedia Britannica, but if they are right, we are back to the question about ICE.

that'd be welcome news at this point

This article says Camila was born in Ontario, California.

“The worried family that's hundreds of miles away from Texas is desperate for answers. Mendoza Olmos was born in Ontario and went to elementary school there.”

Her family says she was born and raised in Ontario California. She might be a dual citizen.

I was kinda surprised that she was born in CA because she has a Spanish style name where her surname is her "middle" name. Usually that would be how it presents on a Mexican birth certificate, but in the US, it's the other way... It's not unusual for those who become US citizens to flip their names into US style.

Even if she was born in Mexico, if her dad is a US citizen, she would be a US citizen via birth right as long as she goes to the US consulate and finalizes the paper work. If she is born in the US and her mom is a Mexican citizen, she can be a Mexican citizen if she completes the paperwork.

Oh well....

This is not known. No one said anything directly. I would look at the girls who were interested in the boys, too. Girls may be pretty strong, and Camila is not big.

What concerns me about the situation with Mariadelis Siles and Camila Olmos is that both are petite, pretty brunettes. Someone’s preferred type. Siles’ case was deemed a suicide, but I bet many have questions. I do.

@ivegotvha in your post #492, which I cannot quote (the internet is feeble here), where is the origin of the second post under my name? I can’t find it

Are you sure you are quoting me? Not my style, “picked up” in this context. Plus, I’d probably write “Sheriff’s office”.

Post a legitimate and verified source saying this? I see sources saying they have not ruled out trafficking, kidnapping, or anything else at this time. This means that anything is a possibility, which is categorically extremely different than the police saying that she may be a victim of human trafficking. Word choice matters. JMO.

I suspect that some of people in that neighborhood/along that walking route who have home security cameras have been out of town for the holidays. Hopefully as people come back home from visiting family/vacations, they start checking their footage from that morning and come across more info.

I hope my spidey sense is wrong on this one. I’d be very happy to be wrong.
I don’t think you have to look far from her known acquaintances for an answer.

Amateur opinion and speculation only

so, i think everyone agrees trafficking is possible here. but i think there's some confusion about whether that's saying much (it's not) or whether there's any particular reason to think it happened here (not that i know of).

As we’ve seen time and again on these threads…anything is possible.

In this case, IF she was abducted, it’s someone who knows her, and her schedule well. Perhaps there was a rouse to have her obtain whatever she was getting from her car.
This is a known person. (IF she was abducted). Lurkers and traffickers don’t strike me as early birds.

Amateur opinion and speculation only

Yes it was the comment about the ICE ... could she have been picked up by ICE... and my comment was NO it was already determined that she was not picked up

i'm guessing some friends here have just chosen to believe it's trafficking. and it might be. but until we see anything that points to that, it's just one possibility among many.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully she just left her devices as they were and didn’t wipe them. When I heard her phone needed to be charged I was worried she had factory reset it.

Who leaves their phone at home? Especially her generation. Seems deliberate to me.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

I noticed that there is a curve on the road.

It is a little bit difficult to verbalize my idea, but the “dash cam area” looks curvy. Is it possible that someone’s house in the vicinity may give the person a good view of the walkers? Especially if the area is slightly hilly and the person is on the second floor. Then it may be just a question of time/opportunity.

Did she consistently go for early-morning walks? If so, did she take the same route every day?

Walking the same route every day is concerning; someone may have been watching her and decided to attack her.

JMVHO.
