Thanks. (It's STILL pouring and thundering out....)

Don't you know we wish we could send our water to you!

Those of us in NWLA, about 30 miles from TX would also like to send you our water! I hate that y'all are in such drought mode.

Until this spring, Austin was still in drought, I think. Now it's floodville.

Crazy.

And although it's not relevant to the flooding, I cannot say how heartbroken I am about the 12 yr old girl missing in the gulf. She went on a school field trip from a Houston school to Galveston. Earlier the schools in Houston were all closed for flooding and I think what if they'd been flooded one more and no school? Maybe the field trip would not have happened. Or if there had been no flooding would the water have been so rough? I don't really know much about gulf waters and if flooding rivers and creeks emptying into it cause it to be rougher or not. But shes' still missing and its' very sad :(

Such sad news. Prayers and condolences to their families, friends and communities, may they persevere, and may those beautiful children and the others taken away rest in peace.

Sad news per this post:

#BREAKING: Crews recover 7-year-old girl's body from flood water along Hwy. 175 (CF Hawn Fwy). http://on.nbcdfw.com/hONoIEe

This is so so so heartbreaking. The family did not drive into high water. They did not ignore the flood. They were driving and had an accident and still the flood waters affected them. Poor little soul.
