I just went on YT to see if there were any comments...
The guy inside is FINE!! Apparently, he listened to the radio the entire time, and lights stayed on too!! Someone said it is a high end Jeep, trail rated, so it was insulated for water...best commercial EVER for a Jeep!!!
Of course, this was the reports on YT, and nothing MSM related. But those are local people on the ground, so...take it or leave it.
I choose to take it - as the alternative is, well...

Stevie Ray Vaughan's statue sits on about a 3-4 foot pedestal near downtown Austin. However tall trash cans are. That's what is peeking out next to the sign pole.
Austin turned Stevie Ray Vaughn into Jesus!!! He is walking on water :guitar:
For those in or near Austin, TX:
Hubby is supposed to travel there for work tomorrow morning (at Red River and 15th St)...does anyone here know if that is under water? We were just there two weeks ago and I believe it was near a stadium that I think I heard is now under 6 feet of water. But, maybe that is a different stadium...(?)
That is a different stadium...the one that flooded is where some High Schools play. The one you are probably talking about is the track and field/soccer stadium for UT, or the UT stadium itself.
No flooding up there...and most likely, the current flooding will have subsided. It is emptying into Lady Bird Lake now.

Change it to traffic view & if traffic is moving, they're open for business. Looks fairly gnarly now though.

Some streets may still be closed, but should be ways to get around. It looks like only Lamar is closed right now downtown.
Ironic. He wrote a song called "Texas Flood" about another deluge.![]()
