Found Deceased TX - Chrissy Powell, 39, San Antonio, Paralegal, didn’t arrive @work, BOLO, 5 July 2022

I think this is strangely quiet. How seriously is she being looked for other than by her family and friends?
I think in this case BOLO means be on the lookout but don't go out of your way to look.

I suspect nothing is actively being done by LE to locate Chrissy other than her info and photo of her and vehicle maybe being distributed to officers. :( unfortunately, they haven't noted anything that makes them think she is victim of foul play I keep thinking about her 12 year old son and her mother. How scary this must be for them. How helpless they must feel.

There are no alerts on the freeway signs here for Chrissy. There have been a couple of silver alerts on the freeway signs since she went missing, but nothing about Chrissy. Usually there is a description of the vehicle and the license plate number. Does anyone think this is strange?

Checking in here, was hoping to hear that Chrissy had been safely located. Given her described presentation when she left the house, could she possibly have checked herself into a mental health facility, and privacy laws are preventing them from allowing that information to be shared with LE? Just considering she may have been having an anxiety event, she recognized it, and sought help.

jmo / brainstorming with hope for her safety
That would be positive, but I would think she would contact her mom telling her such and that she is safe.
I have a hard time believing she would let her mom and son go through the anguish they are experiencing.
But who knows what her condition is if that's the case?

Probably not strange since there is no proof of foul play. Silver alerts and child abduction cases are different, IMO, than a young adult missing with no evidence of foul play.

It looks as though Search and Support in San Antonio has been assisting. This is their official FB page and the search for her is mentioned on their July 15 post.

Yikes, I interpret they are thinking self harm.

I mapped her route to her job on Google Maps a couple different ways. I then went through it on Street View and it's so built up with businesses that there's no way her car isn't on a store, restaurant or security video from somewhere.
right?! SERIOUSLY! I feel like information isn’t being shared publicly. Her car can just VANISH in 2022.

“new conclusions” what are the old conclusions?

It seems like they were expecting to find a wreck and didn't (old conclusions).

I feel for folks who are local who are wanting to help. Surely they've checked traffic cameras at major intersections on her route to see if her vehicle was captured that morning as she supposedly left for work. The timeframe to check would have been very short. If LE would at least announce something, anything - that they at least spotted her at x-intersection and then lost her, it'd at least eliminate some searching. How many people are combing over the same areas?

BBM Absolutely frutstrating! They have to have spotted her car somewhere, they knew when she left home and where she said she was heading. Really stunning that there are no updates from any source, imo.

This article says Chrissy may have been seen at Kerrville?

I do find this quote from her office manager a little bit contradictory and strange though? Maybe she was having some issues with her job and needed some time out? Her office manager seems to do a back flip halfway through.

Fingers crossed that they find Chrissy soon and that she is ok.

I hope this is the case. At least she'd be in a safe place.

This is a strange case. Odd that nothing has been learned about her or the vehicle.

This sure went quiet. No public searches, no interviews with the family, no updates from media or LE. What must her children be thinking? I think she's probably with her car. SAPD probably hasn't put out a request for the public to look for the car because she could be voluntarily missing. Unlikely imo.

I was thinking the same thing. Every time I get an alert for this thread I hope she's been found safe.............

I did read some posts on FB from Search & Support San Antonio, and it is a little confusing. They are assisting law enforcement in their efforts to locate, and apparently they( SAPD) have a missing persons task force handling it but on the San Antonio LE website they don't have a missing persons unit unless that falls under their SVU operations. Then if you read what law enforcement says it appears as if there is no investigation because no foul play is suspected. The problem is the general public in that area may be confused as well, this may cause locals in that area no to be on the look out or call in with possible tips and pertinent information. I think the general message that needs to be conveyed by Law Enforcement is that this is a mother who is missing be it by her own accord or not and she needs to be found for the well being of her family.

I think this is a tough one for LE. Adults are allowed to disappear, and LE has no right to share Hippa related info to the public. If the family can prove they are an endangered person, or can make some benign statement about needing meds, it seems it is the best they can do. We can infer a lot from what LE says (or doesn't say), but I don't think the general public does.
