So the Sprint guy gets to go home? How does what is found in the data come into court? Maybe the policeman who reviewed it?
Yeah he was only there to testify that the phone records were obtained legally. He has nothing else to contribute. But now the phone records can be used in court and I'm sure will hear about them next week. This guy was not a witness To anything except how the phone records were obtained by law-enforcement.

Another camera shows a dent in the font fender of the car, It's a black Camaro THINK its Arochi's car, they haven't said. #arochitrial

Holy crap! Could it be that his car did already have the dent??? Omg

I am a bit behind the conversation, so maybe this has already been clarified, but noticed this post at 3:49 pm that many responded to. Maybe the impression was that L P Phillips had just tweeted that, at that point. But he had not. He left the courtroom much earlier, and he had tweeted that at about 2:30 or so, and it was BEFORE they had the sidebar over the confusion, and then the expert testified that he really couldn't tell whether there was damage or not.

IOW this was definitely NOT a tweet about a later development, later video, or later testimony.

EDIT : corrected CookieM post to reflect her edit ;) so no confusion. Happens to us all.

Correct he was only there to authenticate the Sprint record (s) as to the texts, calls, special # for that particular phone used, whom it registered to, phone number, address, so forth. That is all he would be able to do. I wish we knew who was "released" or subject to recall.

This information will also be tied to the cell phone pings.

Respectfully BBM :silly: typo, should be legally.

Correct he was only there to authenticate the Sprint record (s) as to the texts, calls, special # for that particualar phone used, whom it registered to, phone number, address, so forth. That is all he would be able to do. I wish we knew who was "released" or subject to recall.

This information will also be tied to the cell phone pings.

Ooops! So sorry folks! I definitely meant LEGALLY!! I'm on my phone and the site was acting up and taking forever to accept my typing. I was so happy I was able to type my whole message and hit send too soon!
Mimi, can you edit or remove my quote so there is no confusion?

I'm not sure how it'd be possible since their cars were parked nose to nose. Don't think we knew that before trail began but it sort of cuts down on the ways he could have accidentally injured her and then panicked.

So does video show them in the actual parking deck? I am guessing not or they would have shown it and would answer some questions. There is a 3 minute gap, if I am understanding. what level of the garage were they on? 3 min is a long time much could have happened. JMHO

The point being that the guy testifying went back and forth to the point that clarification was needed. Was it clear that there was damage? After much back and forth: they can't say for sure there was, which conversely means the evidence doesn't prove there wasn't. That's the problem. The doubt.

Respectfully, I could see possible backing over her, but how would that have caused damage to the front fender on passenger side. (If I am understanding the alleged damage they were speaking of with the witness who said both damage and no damage?) JMHO

I hate having to depend on other people for information. It appears the reporters are not that experienced in expert witness verbiage. They never say it looks like. They always say it is consistent with xxxx.

Agree and it seems like they ALL tweet out re testimony being said at SAME time. I know many as possible media folks sit together at Arron Lewis trial and conversed about what to tweet out. Its like dang do you not have ears and ability to use what YOU heard?

DONE :) I edited it to match yours. and made note lol Happens to us all. Wasn't trying to be snarky. And I totally understand the site has been wonky for me last 2 days, taking forever to post and sometimes duplicating the post when I try to refresh. I delete when able to catch.

Correct - the video didn't answer the question, either way. I was only pointing out that LPP's tweet sounded like the question had been answered (and said that there was damage seen to the car), and that was the last word, when in fact it had been later clarified that "can't tell" was what was being said.

since they were nose to nose, maybe he smashed her into her car and her body caused no damage to her car but injured her and damaged his.

The expert was CONFUSING. But he later clarified that he was neither testifying there was, nor that there wasn't, damage seen in the video. But there is no question that the car was damaged at some point, and the only question is when (whether at some point before the abduction, including the prior day or days, or during). This video wasn't able to answer that, so they have to figure out the answer by other testimony.

As I read the tweets it seemed the expert was saying that there was an 'anomaly' that indicated damage but the video didn't clarify if it was or wasn't.
AN anomaly could be light reflection, darkness, movement, etc. but no clear frame that showed damage.

As SteveS says the answer will have to come from other testimony. The video was not good enough.

Exactly. I was :thud: when I read that. I know texas and he's likely to be found guilty but so much reasonable doubt so far. IMO

I was just reviewing the tweets from today and I wanted to note that there was this-

"Prendergast and Hunter Foster got into a fight while they were breaking up. Claims Morris and Foster had stolen money from him. #ArochiTrial"

followed by A DIFFERENT reporter who LEFT OUT "Foster" and it only said Morris had stolen money.

  • #199
So it seems based on what was said today...

CM and HF may have stolen $ from LP

The dent MAY OR MAY NOT of been on EA car BEFORE he was with CM that night....

The video is just as bad as we saw on Tv even with experts reviewing it.

None of their friends seem to be saying anything making EA look like he did anything.

MY thoughts about the friends are....Do they have any reason to not be totally honest? Are they being faithful to EA? Or are they worried about themselves? Or did he just snap..
