We're seeing the same defense game-plan being used here, as was used before the first trial, and also during it: try to get as much evidence as possible prohibited from even being put into evidence, so they don't have to argue against it.

And, as at each stage before, having almost no success whatsoever in keeping the sordid facts about EA the Predator out of the courtroom.

One truth to keep in mind as the defense tries to argue against some of these details - the bigger picture issue, of whether EA did indeed commit SA of a Minor, is almost being taken as a given. And that's a FELONY being added to the sentencing considerations.

The details help make it clearer as to what probably was in EA's mind re CM, and perhaps what he tried to do to CM. But they don't need those details to be proven in this court, to prove EA did indeed commit SA of a Minor, which speaks to his character and to how long this sentence should be.
