Does anyone find it kind of odd that there have been no press conferences?

Yes, usually you have press conferences where the family asks the "captor" to please release the victim (which I did hear them say that "nobody was going to file any charges" and to please let Christina go). And no presser updates. Strange. Wonder how soon this will air on ID?

Do we have LE confirmed saying that there are 3 "mystery cars" that they cannot identify?

I can't remember where that info came from.

I just can't remember the last missing person case that had mainstream media attention to this magnitude where police didn't provide the press any updates. Their failure to do so is causing inaccurate and confusing information (such as the surveillance tapes with the friend and his car on them, etc.).

So...do they have footage of him leaving in his car or not??sheesh.

From the link above:

JF: No. According to police, they part ways before she actually gets to the car. Police say they've spoken with him numerous times and actually see him driving off and they think he is not the suspect.

Snipped

DT: Pretty much what we have is the video shows her and this other friend walking into the parking garage and then we don't have any other video beyond that showing what they're doing. What was reported from the friend is basically that he had parked on one side of the garage, she had parked on the other, they split and each went to their cars. He got into his car and he left the location.

I interpret this to mean: Police officer is saying they don't have any video from inside the garage (to verify walking their separate ways to their cars) but they were able to confirm via video footage that "he left the location".

I wonder how much time elapsed between them entering the garage and him driving out of the garage.

I didn't say anything about bf disappearing her. I'm just trying to figure out the 15 calls and didn't realize until this morning there was a dog she was supposedly going to get that evening. Maybe bf didn't want her to drive all that way after ( presumably ) having a few drinks.
Right and LE has ruled in/ out no one to my knowledge.
BF is being cooperative but I wonder why it took him nearly a week to agree to hand over his phone and do we know if he ever did hand over the phone?

yes, he did. He went to the police station and voluntarily handed his phone over.

Hunter voluntarily took his phone to investigators, Jonni said, where police investigated every phone call and text message.

Christina's mom, Jonni Lee McElroy, said she first noticed something was wrong when her daughter didn't reply to her text messages for a few days. A friend contacted Jonni Lee expressing her concern as well.

According to this missing girl's mom, Christina and Hunter got in a "boyfriend-girlfriend' fight the night she went missing. He assumed Christina needed some time to cool down and that she wasn't going to come home that night.

(no mention of her getting her dog to her mom but told her step mom that she was going to get her dog?

Where did you get "told her step mom she was going to get her dog"?

So they may have video of him driving past a nearby store? Is that what you mean? Possible.

They, still, would not be able to know if there was a passenger in his car. IMO

I think maybe there are questions being asked here that are being asked of whomever LE has within their sites as POIs. . . No answers or no good answer can lead to a tense situation.

I agree. PPD should be giving updates on this case to garner even more attention! Misinformation only generates senseless leads to track down so it ties up their men. I would think pressers are the best way to handle this case and manage the information.

He has a distinct car. I'm sure his car was easy to identify. The other three cars were probably not as easy.

OK JVM transcripts are here now. Her mom did mentioned about her coming home to get her dog, not her StepMom.

http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1409/08/ijvm.01.html

Now that who said it is cleared up, some earlier posters suggested her mom got this from the boyfriend. I'm not sure that is true. She could have got it from Christina's friends. It's important to me because it would indicate whether the boyfriend knew she was coming home.

Thats not true. Post 949 in the last thread. I can't link so I will copy.

Police spokesperson David Tilley says Foster has been extensively interviewed and is not believed to be involved in Christina's disappearance at all. "Being the boyfriend, he was one that we looked at pretty heavily," Tilley says. "Anything we have asked of him, he has been very cooperative."

Tilley reports that Foster has been at search events helping to hand out fliers. "We don't have any suspects, but at the same time, we haven't ruled anyone out," Tilley says.

HF is the boyfriend, not SN.

But they are not shying away from answering questions asked by reporters about POIs. A presser wouldn't be any different, but it would draw more attention to the case than random articles or news bites.

While it could be someone she knows, it could just as easily be a stranger abduction brought on by opportunity. She could have been at the wrong place at the wrong time and met with an unsavory character. Have we looked at the sexual predators in the area?

Why do the police have his name? I find it interesting that the only name we have are the bf and Steven

Also we know there were at least two males at this "party". Where there any females there or any other males? Was the friend she was going to stay with that night at the party & were they male or female?

  • #455
I think her FB page has been taken down. Cannot find it.

  • #456
You would think a local reporter would try and get the male that walked her to the parking garage on camera for an interview since he was the last person to see her alive.

HF is the boyfriend, not SN.

I am aware of that.
My post was to clarify this, BBM:
Steven voluntarily reached out to the media. LE has named zero names, including the boyfriend. It was confirmed on the last page by a case insider that Steven is not the 'friend' seen on camera with her. I don't find it necessary or plausible to assume he has anything to do with this. JMO.
