Of course you would encourage your son to be honest as would anyone here. Agreed!
What if the honest part and "the right thing" of this is that EA didn't harm Christina? EA tried to say that on camera and got picked apart. I believe him.

He also said he didn't enter the garage with her, but there's video that shows otherwise.

He also said his phone wasn't used to contact HF, but it was.

He also said he drove home one way, but video and/or tolls show otherwise.

It sure would be easier to believe he didn't harm her if he hadn't lied about these other seemingly minor details that were easily and quickly proven to be lies.

I would if he was charged with a crime, arrested or guilty.. Not if he is innocent and hasn't been charged or arrested.

No you don't!
This is no fender bender!

A woman is missing her family has all but said he murdered her the guy needs someone to give him some
legal advice.
No matter if your innocent or guilty u need a lawyer.

What if you feel your son is innocent and is being crucified?
Do u really want to take the chance he will go to jail for the rest of his life?
No!
You hire someone.
No matter your innocent or guilty its the smart thing to do.

Carlton - Do you have any theory where CM and EA were headed (if she was indeed in his car)? Do you think he took the Exchange exit?

  • #145
Technically speaking, EA has been charged with a crime - stealing a cell phone. I'm not sure prosecutors will seek the death penalty for a misdemeanor theft of $650 in which the item was actually returned before the theft was even discovered, but EA is prepared, just in case.

;)

I don't believe he got an attorney too early. The fact that he got a good one is not anything I focus on. We don't even know if the lawyer took the case for free for the publicity. I've never heard of the guy before, but many may know of him after this.

I'm looking at what LE has on video tape in garage, DNA on the mats and belt and possible video beyond the Custer Road cameras - all of which they may have and have not revealed. Bite marks, bruises, limping, damage to his car, cleaning his car at the Kroger, vacuuming his car at work, denying he walked Christina to the garage or let her use his phone are where my focus is right now. Guilty or innocent I can't get over his denying that he walked the lady to the garage.

Fair enough. If I was questioned more than once by the police on something as serious as a missing person I'd have an attorney with me as well. However, if innocent, it would be an attorney I knew/a friend....not a high caliber defense attorney who specializes in death penalty cases. MOO.

BBM - Yes....that. Racking my brain on that one.

Think about this...
Could it be she left on her own and they all know it?

this is why they are not saying anything!

I don't know enough about the American legal system to be sure but how likely is it that with all the modern methods of DNA testing, phone tracking etc someone would be wrongly convicted of a crime like this. Is the risk great enough to hire a very expensive lawyer before LE have even indicated that a crime has been committed.

Genuine question I would never do this for my son but want to gauge what would be reasonable for an American parent.

This is the only other scenario that I can see as likely if EA didn't have anything to do with Christina's disappearance.

I do not remember him saying he did not walk her to the garage.
He said he did not walk her to her car and he did not!

I think he did say he was not parked there but somewhere else.

Other than the fact that family and friends have stated repeatedly she wouldn't do that to her family, there are indicators from LE that's probably not the case. The warrant is one. The recent foot searches with LE from other counties is another. They don't do that just for grins.

Plus you have EA who has told lie after lie. If she left on her own why would he do that? He said he didn't consider her enough of a friend to walk her to her car, so I can't imagine he'd go out on a big limb to lie for her. Just doesn't add up IMO.

See many could be involved in her disappearance but no crime is committed.

Why In heavens name do you all find it so wrong that he has a lawyer?
If this were your son you would do the same.

Well it isn't just the attorney, it is lying to the police, the bitemark and bruises, cleaning his car, vacuuming at work, having his coworkers lie for him when interviewed
and to add, he didn't hire some shmuck to defend him, he hired the one attorney who takes on guilty clients to try and save them from the death penalty

With all due respect to most.. I'm done here. I guess without much news in the case, this has turned into a bickering match, that I don't need. Best of luck sleuths & take care of yourselves... JMOM & Carlton.. thanks for all you do!

and from day one I have always held my children accountable for their actions, even when that needed calling the police to straighten them out.

I agree with you. It doesn't matter how much he pays or doesn't. To me it's just another hinky thing to add to all of the other hinky things he's done. Like lie, vacuum, squeegee, wake his brother up at 4am because he had to be at work at 8 (his words), injuries, damaged vehicle, and right back to the bite mark. I so hope there is a pic of that! All JMO
How could be have woken up his brother at 4am, when he's on video at 3:58am? And why haven't I noticed that before?

If these are friends and she tells them she is leaving and not to say anything They wont!
If no one harmed her there is no crime.
And I have seen women leave their children, husbands their lives to start over.
.
Its very possible she left on her own

BBM - Here's the part of the warrant where he lied to LE about walking into the garage (there are so many details, I get confused by all of them) ...
During the interview, Arochi made false statements about when he parked his car and the details
surrounding the last time he was with Morris. Arochi told Afiant he walked with Morris to the parking
garage at Henry's Tavern and she entered the garage. He stated he walked around the front of Henry's
Tavern and went to a parking garage near Blue Martini where he had left his car. Arochi insisted he did not enter the parking garage with Morris.
