Maybe we could go at the angle of: how does all of EA's lies make sense? IDK- goodnight all, I'm out!
I lean toward EA having done this, but not as strongly as many here. The only way I can imagine a reason for his lies is if he is covering up a different crime.
If EA walked to the garage with Christina, paid no attention to her arriving safely at her car, drove off and then had an accident. Maybe hurt a homeless person or damaged valuable property while under the influence. He panics and tries to cover it up.
A few days later he is called in to talk to the police about Christina. If he really had no idea what happened to her, he could have thought she would show up in a day or two, so he remains concerned about covering his lesser crime, not realizing how serious the situation would become. He lies about his route to try to hide the accident he had.
Where he was parked? Can't explain that lie. Maybe he really forgot. Is he there often? Got confused? Maybe he was so busy trying to keep his route lie straight that he threw out another lie.
Do we know the phone wiping timeline? I could see wiping the phone as a normal activity for him, because he has to cover his tracks with Sprint. I'm guessing he would have done it anyway at some point.
Late to work-squeegeeing-vacuuming at work- all bizarre behavior, but might make sense if he is covering up some other crime.
Holes in this theory- the biggest one is that I have no idea what else could have happened to Christina. I don't believe she ran away. I don't believe it was stranger abduction. Most of all, I don't think EA would endure the heat to cover for someone else.
Which leads right back to where we started, EA as the most likely suspect. All JMO, and all for the sake of discussion, not a firm theory.
