Maybe its a regional thing. My boys are close in age to Christina. Both are in college and live it home. Also all of their friends live at home. Most in college but others working full time. That is not unusual in our area. I was surprised that Christina seemed to be living on her own for so many years. No judgment, just different customs.

Since I seem to have jumped in with both feet, I have a question that we probably have no answer for.

I believe the VI's have implied that HF checked in with EA after Christina didn't return home. First of all, I wonder what EA told him. But do we know if HF called any of the other SoCalledFriends to see if they knew anything.

Assuming HF made some efforts to check on Christina, someone must have told him something that made him think everything was ok and that he didn't need to report her missing. Whoever gave him reassurance looks suspicious in my eyes.

A stop and pause moment for me......IIRC HF has been completely cleared by the family. However, you bring up a really good point IMO. Maybe all the reasons offered up for him not reporting her missing for 4 days (asleep, possibly seeing another woman, phone dead, silly argument, typical argument, etc.) was not it at all. Maybe someone did point HF in the wrong direction. Because it will never ever ever make sense to me why someone does not report their significant other missing for 4 days when the last WE all know is that she told him she was headed home. Your post is good for thought.

Exactly! I was glad to have my son home for a little longer :) Once they get married and have kids (done and done) no matter how close you live or how close you are to them, they have their own lives and that is a good thing but time with them is limited JMO

Oh! Along old route 5, too-- lots of lonely stretches up to (and beyond) the Heard Museum. So glad you mentioned this!

Oh yeah, we are turning over every rock pebble and blade grass in north texas

Well they say they (MP) usually are found within 5 miles from where they were last seen.
Do u have that perimeter covered?

JMO
If HF was calling around trying to find Christina Id think one of the first ppl he would call would be her DAD (location maybe she went there) Then MOM (hey did she call u) Friends she was with! and EA...Now did he? That's the question. I say NO! Only because if he did they would have been alarmed way earlier. Not 4 days after.

Maybe he thought Christina told them he was cheating on her and was embarrassed to call? Especially her Mom and Dad.

I actually think he would call their friends first and the parents last but JMO. Either way yes, 4 days would not have been lost.

This is what I think. A lot of young people don't like to involve their parents in their fights. Maybe he decided that she wasn't back (and reading between the lines, it appears he did try to contact her) and not responding to his communication because she was mad or pouting. A lot of people are not going to call their significant other's parents in a situation like that.

I agree that if mom or dad had been called, she would have been reported earlier. But, if it was me, I would start with EA (due to the calls from his number) and the person hosting the party or other girlfriends from that night. If one or more of them was guilty, they might have made up a reason she didn't come home- mad @ HF, going to spend a few days with a friend; went on a last minute, out of town trip with a friend to clear her head, that sort of thing.

Any excuse should have rang false, because to go from 15? calls in a few hours to complete silence/not answering the phone would be suspicious. But, if he wanted to believe, it would make sense.

Just tossing around ideas based on an earlier implication that HF called EA. JMO

I thought I saw somewhere in a thread here that the group at the shops of legacy apt have been very quiet and have not participated during searches or posted Christina's missing posters on fb. Is this correct? If so, it is interesting that the PI mentioned the frustration of people having info but being too afraid to talk. I haven't really put much stock into the "covering an accident" theory but if that's true, it does make me wonder.

Possibly but her last call or texts were she lost her key leave the door open. Id think he would assume she went to dads to sleep if she didn't come home.

Something to me is very wrong with this time span and the only person to be concerned is her boss.

If her boss had not called how long do u think it would have been till she was reorted missing!

Three cars or vehicles were seen leaving the garage.
Im not so sure the other 2 were security.

I also do not think the pictures were grainy and hard to make out!

Yes, I think it is important to note that people are too afraid to talk.

Morris disappeared from the Shops at Legacy in Plano Aug. 30. Surveillance video from the shopping center are the last images of Morris alive. Morris’ family hired a private investigator, but — just like police — Paula Boudreaux is having difficulty finding evidence.

“It is very frustrating, because you have people with information who don't want to talk,” said Boudreaux. “Everybody is afraid.”

This article was posted a couple of months back, but quite possibly could fit the scenario in CM's situation:

AUSTIN, Texas - Austin Police are warning of the dangers of illegal drugs after they say a 21-year-old woman died after taking the drug "Molly" last weekend at the Austin City Limits music festival.

The victim has been identified as Jessica Hunter, 21 of North Richland Hills.

The detective was flagged down by an unknown person in reference to a female in medical distress. The detective made her way to Jessica Hunter who was conscious, sweating profusely, her complexion was gray, her body was rigid and her hands and feet were flailing. Hunter's friends indicated that she had taken a drug known as "Molly," generally known as Ecstasy.

Hunter was with a group of friends, who took the exact same drug which resulted in a bad reaction, though not as severe as the reaction suffered by Hunter.

Investigators searched for Morris in rough terrain and now in ponds and lakes near where she was last seen. Until she's found, turmoil lives inside her stepmother.

"If we find her and can make her well, that turmoil will go away immediately,” said Anna Morris. “If that's not what happens, I don't know that we'll have peace."

Police have not made any arrests and have no suspects in connection to Morris’ disappearance. They also don't have any physically evidence that proves a crime was committed.

:candle: :sigh: :tears: :overreaction:

Praying that the detective and the fact that they brought in dogs will help bring Christina home.

It's terrible. It just seems like we are no closer to finding Christina. We have people who have lied, we have people scared to talk, and we have no evidence of a crime. I guess the forensics must've shown nothing because LE said this in that article when they were searching around Watters Creek just the other day.
"So far they have found no evidence of foul play and no evidence of Morris since she disappeared from the Shops at Legacy in the early morning hours of Aug. 30."
Seriously??? They think the only logical way to have left the garage was in EA's car but they have no evidence of her since she disappeared?? So she didn't leave in his car? Arrgh. I wish they'd release the video of all the cars leaving or at least give us times that the other cars left the garage. I know LE doesn't have to tell anyone anything but I'm just saying I wish they would. I just can't believe that after 3 months and all the forensics they have done on that car they still have no evidence. It's maddening.

I have a question.... Does anyone know if there is a grand jury hearing set? From what I recall, the evidence subpoenaed is due on 12/4, but that there was no hearing scheduled.

  • #419
What did her stepmom mean by, "If we can find her and can make her well"?

Just heard a blurb on the Fox News Channel:

Fort Worth woman, Christina Morris, missing for three months. The search is being stepped up.
