I tend to agree. I've thought all along she got into his car for whatever reason, and something went wrong after the fact. I know it's been said that he & Christina were not friends, but they went to school together, they've been FB friends since 2011, and had a ton of friends in common. They weren't exactly strangers. So, I think she felt comfortable getting into his car. Now, after they left the garage is where I have a hard time figuring out what happened. I don't see him as someone who had a plan, or planned to harm Christina that night. I think in a split second, something bad happened.

And, that is likely what the defense will argue because the Aggravated Kidnapping charge has been chosen. AK requires taking someone against their will for ransom, as a hostage, to impede government officials/business, to physically or sexually assault, or in the commission of another crime.

It seems like they'll have difficulty proving his mindset/intent prior to the "kidnapping" when you have that video of them walking together to the garage, and the testimony of witnesses who have said they noticed nothing unusual about the pair that night as they barhopped, went for burgers, and hung out.

But, again, here's where I go back to whether or not EA has an attorney. I believe the prosecutors made that higher charge hoping to get information for either an equally high charge or a lesser charge. With no attorney standing in their way, they could easily choose a high bar charge and pile on a high bail amount. Why would they not? They need him to talk, and probably figured that would scare information our of him.

I just did provide the link - it's the Collin County jail/inmate website. I don't know how much more official that can be: http://apps.collincountytx.gov/injail/InJailSearch.aspx
Well I did as you suggested and looked through about 15 other inmates and non of them had attorneys listed. I did find interesting however one inmate with the same first name also charged with agg kidnapping first degree with a bond of 50,000. he also lists a wife and a girlfriend on his visitor list but no attorney

Looks like GF wanted none of that. Can you imagine the hits her name got????? Yikes, I'd be having myself removed as well.

Can someone look at the Collin County Court website? Perhaps PJ is listed on there.
On my phone and can't find it. :-/

Another question...not challenging, so don't take it as such. For those that have an attorney listed, where is it listed on the page? TIA

On the page with his picture, under "Charges, Bonds, Fines & Court Costs," you have to scroll the page to the right.

When you click on any of the inmates' names, it tells all of the information about their arrest, along with who can visit them. There is also a blank listing the inmates' attorney...if they have an attorney of record.

My assumption is that Collin County gets this information when they ask the defendant, "Do you have an attorney?" Or, if an attorney is present and fills out the paperwork/tenders a letter telling the County that they are representing the defendant.

It's no big deal that Johnson is somehow connected with Accion America. But, again - and, I've stated this before - some pretty simple, straightforward journalism could be done by the "news" people to determine whether or not there is an attorney instead of just relying on word of mouth.

In short, the journalism on this thing seems to be sloppy. I suppose the days of real investigative journalism is gone. Perhaps news organizations just don't budget enough for it these days.

The jail roster doesn't always list attorney of record.

I believe Dallas Morning News has checked their facts!

"Paul Johnson, Arochi’s attorney, declined to talk about McElroy’s offer Saturday afternoon.

He also declined to comment on the arrest, saying he was waiting for copies of the arrest report and search warrant.

“We’re just processing what we’ve got now and waiting for an opportunity to review the evidence that formed the basis of the charge,” Johnson said."

Right, unless they have proof that something happened the minute they got in the garage.. Of course, just because they were walking casually, like friends certainly doesn't mean things didn't drastically change.. the only quick analogy I can think of (and probably not a real good one...lol) is John Lennon... The killer was very friendly to Lennon earlier in the day, got his autograph, thanked him and a few hours later shot him 4 times...

He's not listed. It's already been posted twice today by me, and once yesterday by someone else. I think it's this Accion American thing that has people confused. If he has a contract with AA/CQ and just goes out with him to do...well, whatever it is AA/CQ do (anyone?)...that's misleading.

Seems to me that if he's been paid by the family and is the attorney, why would Collin County not have him in the official records? I think - but don't know - that attorneys have to submit letters of representation to the court/police...or, at least show up at something like an arraignment and be listed on that type of paperwork.

I can't imagine that on the arraignment paperwork that if and attorney were present for the defendant that he/she would not also be listed as the defendant's attorney in the County's own inmate listings.

But, who know, maybe I'm overthinking it  ...or, underthinking it.

Well, write and tell them to check the Collin County records because there is a discrepancy between what they wrote and what the record is.

(As, yes, I know that newspapers don't make mistakes in the rush to be the first ones to get out a story :peace: )

Could EA's bond be so high because the victim (CM) is missing?

Yep. That's highly likely as well. Just strange that it would take three passes at the car to finally find evidence. Although, if they did...whatever it takes, how ever long it takes, as long as the truth get discovered and CM is found.
