GUILTY TX - Christina Morris, 23, Plano, 30 August 2014 - #26 *Arrest*

I took it from Page 8 of the arrest affidavit. I indicated that it was "(approx)" because it stated it was 40 minutes after he left the Shops of Legacy. If he left the garage at 3:58 then it would make it around 4:40. Or maybe I'm reading it wrong? Does it mean 40 min after the time he returned to the Shops, and not the time he left the garage the first time?

I can't cut and paste from the pdf doc, so I've typed out the relevant piece, below

Affiant believes the cellular data information which indicated Enrique Gutierrez Arochi' cellular device communicated with a cellular tower in the area of his home less than 40 minutes after his cellular device communicated with the same cellular tower as Christina Morris' cellular device near the Shops at Legacy

they're talking about 40 minutes after 4:56 i.e. 5:32

I get this either at all! I mean what kin of friends would allow a friend to walk with him knowing this. Plus the keys missing. And the call she made back to SN saying she was still walking.

Christina's original plan was to spend the night there. Something changed her mind. One of the VI's stated earlier that she might have not been feeling well. I wonder if it was the atmosphere of the party and she felt better leaving.

Yeah, I remember thinking that it was WAY to early to use past tense...

I've thought about this so much.

I don't know if it was the past tense verbs as much as it was the actual word choice that flagged our collective hinky-meter.

IMO, we want things to be reasonable. It's reasonable to think that someone might use past tense when describing a past event or even a situation where the person is no longer right in front of you ("We went to the mall. She was sad.")

If it was just past tense, I think we could find a way to make peace with it and maybe let it go...

but the phrasing of the article-- that "he never realized it would be the last time he saw her before she was reported missing" is odd, as if he planned to see her at least one or two more times before she went missing. (Because how could anyone have that realization before someone goes missing, right?)

Equally peculiar, the present tense of the "I don't see anyone that could lay a finger on her."
Don't = do not

I feel like if he'd used can't/cannot, it wouldn't have snapped us to attention so acutely. At least, I don't think I would have alerted at a statement of I can't see how anyone could've laid a finger on her.

Just so weird...

Steven Nickerson was with Morris before she went missing and said she seemed a little upset that night, but he didn't know what was wrong. He said she insisted on driving back home to Fort Worth, but he never realized it would be the last time he saw her before she was reported missing.
"She was loved by everyone. She was the nicest person I've ever met, great personality," said Nickerson. "I don't see anyone that could lay a finger on her."
Family and friends have searched areas in Allen and Lake Lewisville, places where Morris has been before.

Also noticed - that his clothing from that night has not been mentioned as 1)having been collected or 2)being missing. It's not mentioned. AT ALL.

the didn't have a search warrant for the house at the time that was written so unless he left them in his car they would have had no chance to get them.

There must be some type of connection to these events though. Obviously another non-familial male has been in his car at one point or another.

Sorry if said before, I am way behind. He may have of had as many "friends" as possible ride in his car after a thorough cleaning to try and dilute/confuse the DNA evidence left in his car. MOO

OK, so why would he get mad and tell that girl that if she wasn't sleeping on the couch (where he had been sitting with her), that he was going to leave?
Because PP was going to sleep in her own bed and sb was going to sleep on the sofa. Ea thought he and sb were going to have sex on the sofa. When sb went into PP room and said she was sleeping there with PP in her bed, ea knew there would be no sex with her.

I can see CM wanting to leave if people were starting to attempt to pair up and felt like she was a third wheel. Not only that, but maybe SN was trying to pair up with her. And maybe she was somewhat interested, thus the phone call on the walk to the garage.

Still can't wrap my brain around the idea that party friend validated investigator's comment about E's sexual advances/perception of their relationship and they all still let Christina make that trek with him... when they're saying that the reason for his departure involved sexual anger/rejection... and nobody followed up with her?
Agree, and it's possible she called SN hoping they would say something like "are you ok walking with him" and she could respond without tipping EA off. The calling to say I'm ok to drive is not making sense, I could see calling for some relief of awkward silence but I'm going to guess she was pretty intuitive and purposely made that call for other reasons.

She may have even tried to play it cool as her own discomfort grew, maybe eventually claiming to want to go back to the apartment? I really hope he didn't offer/pressure her into accepting a ride back there, only to change the plan after she'd gotten in the car.

It's got to be a statistical anomaly to have so many aloof/obtuse friends and interactions in a single night/situation. I think that is ultimately at the heart of our distrust of anyone in that circle.

Starting with the inability to give a definite account of what Christina was wearing that night, and progressing steadily ever since then...

He was mad that she wasn't sleeping on the couch with him is the way I read this.

That's one bit of the new info that I don't find odd, pretty common way to act IME, not saying it's acceptable but to me not unusual

This is so crazy; so which girlfriend did he tell the "turning" of the tires story? Was it SB or RA?

Remember how the PI detective's dog picked up some sort of scent/blood/saliva right where EA's car was parked? IMO - they walk into the parking garage. EA and CM go to hug good-bye or something along that line. EA makes an aggressive move on CM, rejected again, and fights her or knocks her out somehow. Throws her in the trunk and takes off. Goes home and maybe hurts her some more inside his garage. Talks with his brother to create an alibi, then back to the shops at legacy.

Thats where I'm hung up. Why go back there? If he went back into the parking garage then his car would of been seen on camera entering again. Did he pick someone up to help get rid of CM? Did he pass CM off to someone else from the party and they hid CM?

Maybe he disposed of her body in a trash dumpster there.

Trying to catch, sorry if this was posted. Do you think EA could have returned to the apartment to retrieve something he left behind or claim to...this way the people at the apartment would see him after he left with Christina? Also thinking that if they were all out dancing and drinking, maybe EA read more into a possible hook up but by the time they got food and comfy at the apartment, everyone was ready for bed. If I remember correctly, Christina worked on Friday. I am guessing without a nap, should would have been up almost 24 hours at that point.

Or a "haha, we don't get to see you that much and aren't ready for you to go" kind of joking thing.

Nope, that is unlikely. MOO :-)

But didn't they find a long sleeve black shirt in the trash? It looked like he was wearing just that in the garage video.

I think the dogs would have picked up on the dumpster if it was the same one.
