Depending on the family dynamic, I can easily see it. He had only been gone a couple weeks, and not that far. Labor Day weekend is a party weekend for the college crowd. Not a quality family time type holiday.

And, because he's a freshman, it's not as though he'd been gone a long time anyway; maybe as little as just a couple of weeks.

Plus, when they left to go out of town, he may not yet have decided to come home. It may have been a spur of the moment decision on his part. College kids do sometimes make spur of the moment decisions.

And, besides, if everything else is correct for their own stories, the fellas didn't spend time together anyway.[modsnip]

From all the phone activity that night I do not for one second believe CM and HF were fighting.
I think something bad was going on and this was the reason she wanted to leave.
The KEY is another red flag.
I don't think its a house key.

Troubling that the two other cars mentioned by LE left the garage approximately forty minutes after EA drove out of the garage the first time. Forty minutes was when EA's phone pinged again near SOL. Not another car present in between the two times? Weird EA would return (at least to nearby) at the same time. Figure the odds.

Interesting point, but I personally don't put any particular stock in the other two cars as some sort of lead. My belief is that either LE knows the other cars and has checked them out and cleared them, or they don't know anything and we have nothing to follow up. In addition, saying one or both are some sort of conspirators requires both timing on the part of EA in departing, and also a specific intent to leave with CM, neither of which seem to be in play at all, imo. I think he had one thing on his mind the whole evening, and it wasn't some partner waiting in a parking garage, and that the two of CM and EA walking together to the garage was a matter of convenience more than anything.

I'm new to this thread so forgive me if my question has been covered: Does anyone have any idea why LE thinks he brought CM to his house? He leaves SOL; last know point of location was Sam Rayburn tollway ; next avaialble exit was Alma Dr,; no more hits on the tollway; his phone and CM's phone ping 40 minutes after leaving SOL; his phone pings at side of tower near and facing his house about 34 minutes after leaving SOL. LE states they believe he brought CM to his house but they do not say when.

Per the affidavit, they believe he took her there between 4:56 (ping in Shops area) and 5:32 (ping at/near his house). They did not reveal why they think that.

It's his fb page so he has a reason for it or whoever has access to it has a reason.
Also, there are people who live in other countries who do not speak English and who use facebook. Perhaps he wanted them to be able to read and or comment on his FB page.

That's certainly a possibility, but IMO it's more likely due to potential trial related arguments as put forth by Doj1234.......the English is my second language and maybe someone else wrote it reasonable (?) doubt scenarios.

We have to recognize ...
1 That was what they said in early Sept, not now, and things change considerably in 4 months. If we're re-airing things that are 4 months old, we can't see them in the context of as if they were said today and understand them properly.
2 In addition, we can't put too much stock in what LE said early on, as they were saying lots of things to give EA the impression they were looking elsewhere so he would let down his guard. "Hey, we really don't know what to do, this case is tough, there were these cars and maybe one of them is involved, ya know?"
3 We know for a fact they did find the driver of at least one of the cars. EA is in jail right now for the crime.
4 Note also, EA took their bait and denied he was driving one of the cars. Sucked right in by their "We have no idea who could possibly have been in any of those cars - they all look alike, ya know?"
5 My understanding (without a link) is that they identified the other two as well; maybe someone else can validate that.
6 On a bigger scale, LE's acting like they had no idea of EA's involvement worked, didn't it? He thought he had lied them away from noticing him, while behind the scenes they were making notes of his attempted coverups and lies, playing like Columbo with him in interviews to see what other lies he would tell when they would point out the *ahem* "mistakes" in his story, and sorting through his trash for additional evidence.

IMO the first info that comes out is in many cases spot on. Memories are fresh tongues are loose. As time goes on these stories change some grow wings and some morph into something else.

We have not heard ALOT from LE.
We have whats in the warrant.

That is all I see also. We were speculating about who wrote the note found in the garbage in Spanish. I didnt know if this was deliberate that this one post was left up in Spanish or if many of his posts were in Spanish? Anyone see it before all the posts were removed?
