I saw on NBC this morning (no link, saw it on live TV) that the prosecution and defense were meeting in judge's chambers to discuss trial date. Enrique was not there and would have only been required to be there if he had posted bond.

Very helpful. Thanks.

BF tweets "First appearance was held today." Court to make announcement on April 29, 2015.

I'm trying to recall what I've seen on other court dockets (different states, FYI) and am wondering if an "announcement" can include "announcement of no information" and "announcement of nolle pro (something," meaning the DA has chosen not to prosecute.)

I am not saying I think or hope that is the case here. I'm asking if that can ever be what they mean by an "announcement" on Texas dockets.

Thanks to anyone who knows and will answer.

Based on the link I gave above, I took announcement as the start date of the trial. But, I know nothing about the law other than to stay on the right side of it. :)

LOL in light of the confusion I provided before, it sure looks like I shouldn't answer again.

But it should mean that on 4/29 we'll get an answer to "how do you plead," after which we'll head to trial (with a trial date being set) if they don't have a negotiated deal in place.

Shouldn't be on page 2.

The Court allows four announcement settings before a disposition setting and three plea settings. ... setting and then again at the fourth setting so that a disposition decision can be made. ... The district attorney is required to sign all pass slips.

We have to keep this going for Christina.

I know you are right and it will. There are so many people who care I'm sure of that! Just no new facts available and honestly it just became a site of so very many arguments, often caused by people who have not kept up with all the facts so it has become a beat down just to discuss the facts. So sad but I know so many people check in to keep up and will come her to post any new info available. Justice will be served! She is far from forgotten!

Hmm. I guess I know a bit about feeling censored. At least the thread for Christina is open and not erased as if she had never existed. People are looking for her. People here do know about her and care about her. Not every family has that. I would not be in her mother's shoes for anything. I hope I am never in her mother's shoes, but I don't know. I have no way of knowing.

Bumping again for Christina. Page 2. SMH

DaisyTrail, I'm always thinking of you and what you're going through. There are lots of people who care.

Observations:

After reading the Arrest Warrant (again), there is nothing that states CM left the garage in EA's trunk. The warrant says that she probably left the SAL area in Arochi's trunk (Granite pings?).

The notes from the hearing state: Stamm said the most probable thing that happened was an altercation in the garage lead to Morris in the trunk. (It DOES NOT state that this is where it happened.. )

More notes from the hearing: Criminalists did not find Morris’ DNA inside the interior of Arochi’s car, despite several swabs being taken from the passenger side of the vehicle and the interior door. (Does not state if her DNA was or was not found on the seat belt)

Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Maybe I'm just trying to find things to discuss...lol

ETA: I'm of the belief that CM got in the passenger seat, they went somewhere & headed back to the Shops, when "something" happened. This would explain why EA vacuumed meticulously & cleaned the passenger door (he didn't think to clean the seat belt, because it was probably in the retracted position) . I also think he might have gone home, with her IN THE TRUNK, to figure out his next move...

ITA. I've always thought she got in willingly. But that's JMO.

What is your theory, Zipp?

I just added my theory.. (ETA)

Thank you, Zippixx. I'm curious based on your theory, if you think SA was motive for EA and if so, what do you think he used as an excuse to get her in the car.

IMO, something to do with drugs got her in the car (either a purchase, or to get high), which resulted in an attempted sexual advance, that went very wrong..

It may have been something simple, such as "wanna smoke a joint, before you head back to Ft Worth?" She was maybe stressed because of her bf & took EA up on it.. That may be why he took the tollway.. you wouldn't want to ride around the Plano streets at 4:00am smoking weed... and after all, he did later admit to having some weed that evening.
