A subscribed system like OnStar or a GPS navigator would require an affidavit for a warrant by LE IMO. There is no secret 'black box' available to LE to trap or otherwise convict someone without probable cause that is unknown to the general public as yet.

IMO it is not as if the OBC and other systems do not have those capabilities but as yet the very idea is still against our Constitution. :)

I understand the legal issues. But there wouldn't be much of a legal barrier in this case, if there's something relevant and helpful that could be obtained. (They have his entire car, to examine as they wish.)

The issue is "what info is there, once I can get to it" because they have an open door. Is there possibly something relevant and helpful in his car's computer?

Well, EA still has the excellent match for a cell-mate. If he can't bring himself to tell the families and LE about what happened, then he can always talk to this guy in Spanish and let him be the one to explain it to authorities.

S-P, F (hyphenated Hispanic) has been in jail since Feb. I'm surprised no one has paid his small bond amount.

Edit...looks like maybe info changed since you posted. My original reply doesn't make sense now lol.

Looks like he had a hold from another agency so even if he paid bond he would have been held and transferred to the other agency to face their charges, so that's probably why he didn't pay.

IMO, his defense will be doing the "Anyone but Enrique" defense.

Here's a case of no body and no weapon found. Calvin Harris, a man accused of killing his wife, is about to be tried for the 3rd time.

"Calvin Harris, 55, is accused of killing his estranged wife, Michele, on Sept. 11, 2001, at their home in the town of Spencer, northwest of Binghamton. Prosecutors said the 35-year-old woman was killed while the couple's four young children were asleep upstairs. Her body has never been located, and authorities have not found a murder weapon, though they said small blood spatters were found in the house."

IMO the OBC may contain data relating to the damage on his fenders - like bashing into trees in some remote area for instance, but it won't give GPS info. It will have data relating to sudden stop, braking, speed, reversing, RPM (like spinning wheels), lights, the mileage on the odometer at the time of incident, etc.

MOO

Bumping...hate to see Christina's case fall off the first 3 pages........

With all of the rain we have had in the DFW area, I would think that could move things around. I guess that could be good or bad depending on where EA put Christina.

I am also wondering if all this rain in the DFW area will be a help or a hindrance in regards to locating Christina.

IMO, both. It's hindering the search just by the amount of rain thatt has fallen and if/when she's found, I'm concerned any evidence will be washed away/separated from her body. It will help, IMO, because it should unearth any shallow graves and get things moving. Unfortunately though if her remains are found, it may be that not all will be found. :(

Bumping. [modsnip]

I am always checking. Always praying for CHRISTINA and her loved ones. I hope she is found soon. 9 months is a long time to be alone.

Where are you CHRISTINA?

I check in on this thread everyday, but I stopped posting long ago for the reasons you stated. I've noticed that those of us who were here since day one are no longer posting either. It's a shame, but it happens.
I just want Christina found. :rose'

I would like to see map of areas searched and areas not searched.
After all this time and the fact they believe they have the perp locked up what would it matter if they
showed what areas were searched.

Their priorities are not the same as yours.

LE will not risk anything at all that might help EA get away with an abduction and murder. The case has not yet been tried. Their #1 priority is to get EA locked up for good where he can never again prey on an innocent victim, and finding Christina (while a high priority) is not as important at this point since they believe she was murdered by EA long ago.

So with all due respect to the family and those who want to find Christina, all they do stays close to the vest. I doubt you'll ever see a map or know where they are looking, unless you help them search.
