"she stated that Christina had lost her keys and then found them again and that "people who were there that night" were playing tricks on her and hiding her keys from her. This led a few of us to question who and why."
Obviously determining "if" [keys were actually hidden] and "if so, why" can only be speculative ventures.
But I think there's at least one obvious answer that fits what has been said otherwise, that provides a completely normal account of the pre-walk evening, and fits with the idea that these people were friends.I would assume she had plenty of alcohol to drink during the evening. Maybe she was "fully served" - and more. And/or some weed or other downer? So after the walk to the apartment, and after the food arrived, maybe she was acting too intoxicated to drive, and one of her friends didn't want her to drive to FW in that state. So someone took her keys so she wouldn't drive herself into a wreck or worse. Then she began to get pissy and upset about her keys and they gave them back, after an interval.
We do know it was a full hour later, after she got her keys back, before she left. So maybe they (whoever it was) decided enough time had passed and she was going to be okay. Perhaps tried to talk her into staying and she said she had to go home, she's fine, time to go, etc. (On multiple occasions I've been the guy trying to keep a friend from driving while impaired, and I know how that conversation goes. They are going to go home at some point, in the vast majority of cases, and often the best you can do is try to delay the inevitable and hope they sober up as you do so. They get super pissy when they discover their keys are missing, so you give the keys back, but you also try to talk them into staying a while longer.) Maybe she took an adderall as an upper to wake her up, and that helped.
And all that would also fit with and explain why we've heard that (SN?) was continuing to ask if she was okay, and her continuing to claim (truthfully, or not) she was fine, as she walked to her car.The concern had nothing to do with EA or HF, but rather a continuation of concern re her ability to drive a car safely to FW at that point.
