An observation and definitely MOO---I see several people here that followed the Travis Alexander murder trial, just wondering if those of you have noticed a striking similarity between the convicted Murderer JA (defendant in the Alexander trial) and EA?

For example both of these defendants to varying degrees; are prolific liars and even when faced with absolute proof to the contrary double down or blame their memory, or come up with stories on the fly that roughly fit the scenario being presented, they have had an unofficial "spokesperson" advocating for them (CQ and ALV), both play the victim, both are all about "me, me, me", both lived at home with their parents at the time of the crime...

I just hope and pray that this trial doesn't become the utter nightmarish farce (legally) that the Alexander trial became.

Interesting observations.

It should also be noted that the perp (Arias) - despite all her attempted manipulation - may have created hassles legally, but still ended up with a life sentence, and almost got the chair.

If it's not too much trouble, could you post a map or give me coordinates to look for where the remains were found so I can visualize better what you're trying to explain?

I wish I had an easy way to create and post a map, but I'll try to explain.

If you pull up a map of Dallas, the Trinity goes from NW (Lake Grapevine) and through Dallas to SE (E of the town of Ferris) and continues all the way to the Gulf. The water flows from the NW to the SE.

These remains - just like several others that have been found in the last year - were in the area in and near the Trinity river flood area that generally abuts downtown Dallas. Usually bodies are found just south of the I-35 bridge, but that is because the river bottoms are a secluded place to get rid of a body and almost never because someone floated down the river (I can't recall a single instance when that was the case, but in theory it's possible), and as there are high crime areas on both sides of the river south of downtown Dallas and bodies have been dumped there for years.

Although, this one was about a mile north of the I-35 bridge.

OTOH, for water to travel from Frisco Shops to the Trinity, it would go down a creekbed that is usually dry and that leads to the north end of White Rock lake, then down to the south end and over the spillway, down the creek and the river bottoms south of downtown Dallas, and will hit the Trinity on the south end of William Blair Park. That's almost at Loop 12 and I-45 on the south side of Dallas, and about 5-7 miles (my map-scale guess) south (and downstream) of downtown Dallas where these remains were discovered. That's an almost impossible trip for a body to take, but in the 1 in a million chance it did, it's still way south and downstream of where these (and most) remains are being found.

The flow from Lavon and Lake Ray Hubbard ultimately hits the Trinity too, but that point is SE of Ferris, another 20-30 miles farther downstream.

It's also relevant that these "creeks" that in theory are flowing to the Trinity are dry or little more than a trickle for most of the year, and are only full of water when it rains. It would be a real miracle for a dead body to actually travel very far, if at all, if hidden in one of them when they were dry and then wait months for a big rainstorm that's not likely to float the corpse very far.

Hope that helps.

Hi everyone. Long time lurker first time posting on Christina's thread. I have read for days and days getting familiar with Christina's case by reading all the threads since her disappearance--I still have this and 2 more threads to finish all of the posts. I have quick question that someone may be able to answer--When I do a search on EA arrest history (DOB 3-12-1990, Attorney of Record Keith Gore) it shows that he has was charged on 11-01-2012 with Sexual Assault of a Child, Am I missing something here because I have not seen this discussed and I am on thread #37. TIA for any help in clarifying the veracity of this information. Link to site provided below...

https://apps.collincountytx.gov/JudicialRecords/Case/1387102/100/Other|Inmate Detail

Welcome! If you are on thread 37, you are right about where the sexual assault charge first came to light. Keep reading that thread and you'll find plenty of discussion and information. EA's trial for that crime will follow his kidnapping trial of CM, both of which are currently scheduled for summer 2016.

As for the case records you looked up, 11/1/2012 is the approx date of the crime, not the date of the charge. The indictment occurred in March 2015, and the reason it wasn't discussed all along was that for us it came right out of the blue.

Unfortunately, due to the extensive publicity of JA's trial, IMO, we will see many many more similar examples and similarities.

There were remains found behind theater that were of the missing man. The remains found in the drainage ditch are not identified as far as I know at this time.

I believe you are correct. The remains at the movie theater have been identified. The last remains we were discussing here, pertained to a foot that was found, closer to downtown (10 miles away from the remains that WERE identified). AFAIK, the foot has not been identified.

Oops my mistake, or my bad...

Anything new? ID on the foot? Is HF still locked up?

It was recently Jonni's birthday. I was really hoping and praying that the stars would align and she would find Christina.

They are still searching on Saturdays. Meetup is at Allen High School at 8AM. Jail protests are still ongoing.

Sorry to double post, but I was just thinking about why they stopped keeping the public aware to keep a lookout for her personal belongings? Hat, phone, clothes, backpack, etc... It seems like warning hikers/landowners/cyclists,/kayakers, etc...to not touch these items, take a picture, and call LE ASAP would be important. Especially, as these items are not biodegradable and could quite easily still be visible.

Thought for sure something would turn up after it dried from all the rain.

I don't really remember much emphasis from media or LE to keep an eye out for CM's personal belongings, other than what was on the initial "missing" poster. I keep thinking back to that search of Watters Creek, when 15-20 detectives converged on the area. LE said it was routine, but I have always wondered if something was found, to cause them to blanket that area... either that or they had what they thought was a solid tip, that didn't work out... (I know that I bring that up every few months, but it is something that really stood out to me).. maybe something of hers was planted there, to throw LE off the scent..? I also am curious as to what was found at EA's home.

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to let y'all know that we, before each search, go over all of the items that Christina had with her the night she disappeared. Many of us carry the missing items posters in our cars. We just last week gave to a group of hunters while search to keep a look out for those items. We are constantly speaking with hunters, folks that ride trails on horseback, all kinds of different stuff. Just wanted y'all to know that we do that stuff still. Same as we always have. We also have business cards that we carry and pass out any chance we get. I think in Johnny Archer's last piece on Channel 5 he went over them too last week.

Thanks for still being her after all of this time with us. Still looking and thinking of ways to bring Christina home.

Thank you, jmom! I really was worried about that. I will always be hoping looking and thinking of Christina and her loved ones. I'm so sorry it has been this long.
