The lack of bail with HF tells almost nothing at all. Since he was charged with a drug-dealing charge, and it's federal, the likelihood of getting bail is pretty close to zero. While it seems like an abuse of constitutional protections to me, the fact is that in such a situation those courts operate with a presumption that no condition or combination of conditions will get you to show up to court and keep the community safe, so you can't (and won't) be allowed out until and unless you are found not-guilty or the charges are dropped. That's a helluva presumption to make, but that's what they do, and it's the norm in the federal system. Exceptions are very rare. It's wise to try to avoid being arrested by the feds on an accusation of drug dealing.

Yeah, I can see that. I still find it odd, but I honestly have no experience with drug charges and the Feds and all of that. I'm just surprised he doesn't have a court date or official charges or anything like that.

It still makes me wonder who was in Christina's life if her live-in boyfriend was this big of a drug dealer. So sad for her.

From what little I have heard, he wasn't a "big time" drug dealer at all. Just a small fish in that world. (And his situation in jail doesn't give any indication he was "big time." Big-time and penny-ante dealers, my understanding is that they all get the same treatment he is in.)

Or maybe we just haven't heard the whole story, and he was indeed a big fish after all. Or maybe he was just a nobody who was stupid and made bad choices, caught dealing a small amount in a relatively minor way in just the wrong setting, scooped up with others who were major targets and perhaps even being used to try to flip for testimony against big fish. I doubt anyone outside the case really knows.

Either way, you're right, it certainly does raise questions about the choices CM made. Her choices in boyfriends (plural) and other areas make it seem in retrospect that she liked the bad boy and the drama and didn't really mind living on the edge, sad to say. That's certainly no excuse for EA abducting her and probably raping and killing her too, however.

In a case like HF, isn't bail offered? Was he unable to meet it or how long can they hold someone before their right to a speedy trial? I watch too much Crime TV and I wonder about the innocent people who get jailed before they can clear there names. I am not saying he is innocent, just talking about people in general.

He could have waived his right to a speedy trial.

Is it possible that the new offense date listed is due to him doing something illegal while locked up? Just curious, I have no idea how jail/prison works.

I'm not personally familiar with Kaufman county's online system, but I'd guess that the "offense date" listed in this instance is simply a clerical choice, perhaps reflecting the effective date he was entered into their system. (It would take some research and phone calls to determine what this is intended to indicate, and it's not important enough to chase.) He's charged with a federal crime, but being held in a county jail, and I doubt their online website (which of course actually has no legal import) has a way to accurately reflect all the details and nuances of why, when, how long, etc he's locked up there, and they have to fill in the blanks somehow, so ...

Obviously, there's always the alternate possibility that he has recently committed some crime or another in Kaufman county for which he is now incarcerated there, but given the fact that he was arrested by the feds a year ago and apparently hasn't been out of jail since, that "recent crime" explanation for this clerical entry seems quite unlikely. In addition, the site reflects that he's under "federal hold," so there's that.

Thank you. I don't know what it was, maybe her smile, but Christinas case really got to me. May be a long shot but really hoping we get some answers. Although with EA being such a sociopath, I won't hold my breath.

Yep, at 3:00 on KTVT Channel 11, for those that don't know. (I've never seen the show, so had to look it up..)

Meh.. I think it's just clerical input, out of necessity.. gotta fill in all the blanks, with whatever information. They have the "admit date" & "offense date" the same (02-03-2016).. JMO

Not to mention, he was probably on probation for other drug related charges, judging by all his mugshots. I've said it before, IMO if he ever gets out, he'll probably go back... JMO

Christina's story will be on Dr. Phil on March 22nd.

(Imo, Dr. Phil was so close to getting the POI in Dylan Redwine's case, his father, Mark Redwine, to break. Maybe they should put EA in a room wit Dr. Phil!)

The location (found remains) is also approximately 5½ miles from Watters Creek. That is where 10-15 detectives converged one weekend to search. I know I keep bringing that up, but have always wondered if something was found there, or if he was seen in that location...

zippixx, Watters Creek has stuck in my mind from early on, but my thought was more north, closer to Sam Rayburn, so I'm glad you mention this again.

I'm not from the area, so not at all sure this scenario could work, as I don't know if the exits, entry to property, etc., are possible. I also don't know what the traffic is like at that hour of the day, so maybe it couldn't work from that standpoint.

But EA got lucky somehow and somewhere, so maybe . . .

I guess, too, that this scenario works best if Christina is already injured or dead in EA's trunk (and three minutes in the garage is more than enough time, imo, for something to go sideways--she rebuffs his attempt to get intimate, etc.), but could still work if Christina is in front passenger seat of his car and EA is just trying to find somewhere to take her to have privacy with her.

I'm imagining he's driving along Sam Rayburn, with Christina in his trunk, and desperate to find a place to get her out asap and certainly before dawn.

EA exits Sam Rayburn right after passing over Custer Road, gets on service road. If he can exit there, then both the Rowlett Creek and Watters Creek wooded areas south of the service road are possibilities. It appears from the Google map that there are at least two-track roads into each area from the service road, but I'm assuming these areas are fenced with limited access through unlocked gates since the wooded areas appear to be next to hay fields and\or pasture land. Service roads are normally fenced off from adjacent land.

Once off the service road and into the wooded area, would he have had enough privacy? It is hard to tell from the maps if the woods are dense enough. But given the fact of Tennyson just being found in an area he was known to be in, and an area supposedly previously searched, maybe a body can be hidden far easier than I imagine.

Going into this area without headlights on could certainly account for the damage to his car.

Then EA heads back to Shops area to get rid of Christina's purse and phone in the vicinity of her car, and then goes home to clean his car and get himself put together.

The delay in reporting Christina missing meant her purse and phone were long gone by the time anyone would have been looking for them--either picked up by someone who found them, or they went in a dumpster and in the landfill.

I just think EA would have been frantic to get Christina out of his trunk as quickly as he could, and certainly before dawn.

As always, imo.

I should probably make another disclaimer, that I have no idea what areas have or have not been searched since Christina went missing. Is there a map or list of searches somewhere that is accessible to the public?

  • #438
Search locations are not released. :-)

Windrower, those locations you mention do make sense in the hypothetical timeline you propose. On the map it looks like both Rowlett Creek and Watters Creek, up near SRT, have paved "almost-roads" so to speak that lead to and by wooded/creek areas.

In the former, Rowlett Cr abuts SRT at Exchange, and on the SE corner of that intersection it looks like woodsy park-trails area with a paved path (about the size for a golf cart) that does not appear to be designed to be big enough for cars (or driven on by cars) yet looks like it could be driven on (albeit somewhat narrow, making it subject to someone going off the edge in places and perhaps damaging their car in the process). Even if it's somehow closed at the end by a chain, at night, you could certainly access it by a drive over the curb if willing to risk damage to your car.

In the latter, on the map there's a sizable residential development northeast of the Alma-Exchange intersection, and on the east side of it is Watters Cr. The map shows an alley road on the north side of that development that goes almost to the creek and it dead ends into a woody area abutting the creek, which might be able to drive further and right next to the woods if you are willing to risk damage to your car. And if you are daring, it looks like it ends close to a trail-golf cart type paved "road" which abuts the creek, and which can also apparently be accessed off Exchange on the other end if you are willing to drive over a curb and risk damage to your car. It goes all down the E side of the development, between it and the creek, along creek, woods, alleyways, and maybe even past a dumpster or two for those who favor that scenario for what happened to CM.

For the idea that he got her out of his car BEFORE he went back to the Shops area, your scenario is certainly intriguing, and fits what little we know.

Thread #40.. Christina where are you girl?? I keep randomly checking back in the hopes they have found her and my heart falls every time I see she's still out there somewhere. Do we have a trial date yet?
